Derek and Jordan’s love story began on a sweet note, quite literally, on National Donut Day. Jordan’s playful greeting of “Happy National Donut Day!” sparked the first conversation between them. From that moment, their connection blossomed like the summer sun.

Their first date at Presque Isle, where they intended to watch the sunset, turned into an evening of endless conversation and playful moments tossing the football, they actually missed the sunset entirely. It was a sign of the genuine connection they shared.

As their relationship flourished, Derek wasted no time introducing Jordan to his circle of friends and family. Within a week, she found herself warmly embraced by those closest to him. On June 17th, Derek wasted no time and brough her back to beach where he asked her to be his girlfriend, making the official start to their journey.

Their love knew no bounds as they embarked on a new adventure together, moving to Florida to pursue their dreams. Despite the challenges of starting afresh in a new place, Derek and Jordan found solace in each other’s arms, building a life filled with shared dreams and aspirations.

Fast forward to November 26th, 2023, a day that would forever be etched in their memories. With friends Maria and Drew visiting from out of town, Derek had orchestrated a surprise outing to Sunken Gardens, a picturesque botanical garden. Despite Jordan’s apprehensions about the rainy weather, Derek remained determined to make the day special.

As they wandered through the rain-kissed gardens, Derek’s nerves heightened, his mind focused on the moment he had been waiting for. With Maria’s strategic distractions and Drew’s covert assistance, they found the perfect spot—a serene backdrop of bamboo where Derek could finally ask the question that has been racking his nerves for the last few weeks.

With a nervous yet determined heart, Derek dropped to one knee, the raindrops around them echoing the rhythm of his racing pulse. In that moment, time stood still as he professed his love to Jordan, asking her to spend forever by his side. And amidst the rain and the whispers of nature, Jordan said "yeah, wait really? yeah", sealing their love in a moment of pure magic.
