San Diego International Airport (SAN) is the closest major airport to the Ranch. Most major carriers provide plenty of options! A rental car is recommended, but rideshare services are available and will set you back ~$100 to get to Escondido during non-peak hours.

In the age of GPS, driving directions aren't as helpful as they used to be. Here are a few quick references for common points of travel:

- San Diego Airport -> Escondido = ~40 minutes

- Downtown Los Angeles -> Escondido = ~2.5 Hours

- Carlsbad (I-5 Corridor) -> Escondido = 30 minutes

If you're a person after Derek's own heart and want to get to Escondido entirely by train, great news, it's technically possible (and at least one wedding guest is going for it!)

San Diego is served by Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner service that offers multiple trips daily from Los Angeles. Los Angeles, in turn, is the terminus for a number of Amtrak's long-distance trains from all around the country.

To get to Escondido by train, you can take the Pacific Surfliner from San Diego (or points North) to Oceanside. From Oceanside, take North County Transit's Sprinter light rail right to Escondido!

A number of major hotel chains have a presence in Escondido, including Hyatt, Holiday Inn, Best Western, Marriott, and Hilton. If you're looking to rack up those loyalty points, you're covered!

There are plenty of Airbnb and VRBO options available in Escondido. The neighboring cities of San Marcos, Hidden Meadows, and Valley Center also have options that are less than a half hour away from the venue!
