Our Wedding

Every little sister secretly knows her big sister is usually right—though it’s not always easy to admit. In our case, we have Philly to thank for setting everything in motion. She encouraged Ed (Mike's dad and her colleague at the time) to pass along Dessy’s number, and the rest, as they say, is history. In February of 2023, and the coldest day of the year, we had our first date at the MoMA. On our second date, we sang our favorite musical numbers in the streets of Manhattan. And by the third date—well, as they say, when you know, you know. We are so excited to celebrate our love with all of our family and friends!

Life-long friend of Mike, data-analyst, free-styling jazz musician, avid adventurer, and great facilitator of congestion pricing. 

Matt

Best friend and personal crisis manager for Dessy for 25 years, a registered nurse, and certified goofball. Favorite activities include napping, beaching, and snacking. 

Danielle "Yellie"

Mike’s brother known for his worldly philosophy (ask him about Tolstoy) and love for Breath of the Wild. Excellent talker, but an even better listener!

Luke

Mike's brother and fellow engineer. Ran a marathon in three hours and four minutes and didn't even throw up once! Grill master. 

Jake

Dessy's first and favorite niece. Elmo enthusiast. Loves puff balls, her cat Beatrice, soup, and stomping to a good beat. 

Rosie

Mike's best friend, and child to Nina and Pat. He loves trucks, his dog Mayfly, hiking, and sticking his little feeties in your face.

If you need some time to kill, this is a great place to get ice cream from LIC's or coffee from Southdown Coffee and walk around by the water.

Northport Village

Queens County Farm usually has a pumpkin patch, and a spooky corn maze this time of year. Definitely worth checking out.

A little bit far but fun for pumpkin picking and wineries!

Harbes Family Farm - Mattituck

Right next to our wedding venue. It has a lot of cool tanks to check out.

Museum of American Armor

If youre taking the train at penn station, before you go down the escalator into the station, there is Los Tacos No. 1, which are just as good as tacos in Mexico. It is worth stopping for one on your way to Long Island!

If you want amazing asian food, go to the new world mall food court in Flushing. They have so many places to choose from with the most amazing flavors. Bring cash!
