We met at the blue house in Bremen through mutual friends. Our initial connection was made during a group trip to the movies and our first kiss was in a game of truth or dare (yes we were that young 😂). We shared an amazing few weeks but Rodney was moving for college so we never really made it official although we both felt the spark.

Fast forward to 2009, we got invited on a trip to New Orleans with some close friends. We had a great trip and that spark was reignited. We thought this was our shot but life had other plans and we parted ways again. As we stepped into adulthood, we had kids and built separate lives, both being the other's "one that got away."

Fast forward 14 years and a lot of life changes later, we reconnected as friends. We filled each other in on life and before we knew it we were talking every day
building a friendship we couldn't live without. We've spent the past 2 years blending our families and building our future, creating a life we love. On November 5th 2024 we made it official with an engagement.
