Where&nbsp;to&nbsp;start?&nbsp;How&nbsp;does&nbsp;someone&nbsp;adequately&nbsp;describe&nbsp;when&nbsp;the&nbsp;sparks&nbsp;flew&nbsp;with&nbsp;their&nbsp;person&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;life&nbsp;that&nbsp;transpired&nbsp;after?&nbsp;No&nbsp;one&nbsp;can&nbsp;ever&nbsp;guess&nbsp;when&nbsp;or&nbsp;how&nbsp;it&nbsp;will&nbsp;happen.&nbsp;Sometimes,&nbsp;it&nbsp;can&nbsp;happen&nbsp;in&nbsp;England&nbsp;where&nbsp;Elizabeth&nbsp;and&nbsp;Mr.&nbsp;Darcy&nbsp;met.&nbsp;Maybe&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;quaint&nbsp;small&nbsp;town&nbsp;like&nbsp;Stars&nbsp;Hollow.&nbsp;Possibly,&nbsp;you&nbsp;might&nbsp;meet&nbsp;them&nbsp;by&nbsp;the&nbsp;ocean&nbsp;like&nbsp;Ariel&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;Prince&nbsp;or&nbsp;Sandy&nbsp;and&nbsp;Danny.&nbsp;&nbsp;In&nbsp;our&nbsp;case,&nbsp;on&nbsp;an&nbsp;ordinary&nbsp;day&nbsp;in&nbsp;June,&nbsp;at&nbsp;a&nbsp;poorly&nbsp;played&nbsp;softball&nbsp;tournament,&nbsp;everything&nbsp;changed.&nbsp; We&nbsp;originally&nbsp;met&nbsp;at&nbsp;work&nbsp;at&nbsp;Saint&nbsp;Vincent&nbsp;Hospital.&nbsp;Sam&nbsp;was&nbsp;working&nbsp;as&nbsp;a&nbsp;pharmacist&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;outpatient&nbsp;pharmacy.&nbsp;He&nbsp;had&nbsp;moved&nbsp;back&nbsp;to&nbsp;Erie&nbsp;from&nbsp;Raleigh&nbsp;in&nbsp;2019&nbsp;and&nbsp;started&nbsp;the&nbsp;meds&nbsp;to&nbsp;beds&nbsp;program&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;hospital.&nbsp;&nbsp;Devin&nbsp;was&nbsp;working&nbsp;at&nbsp;her&nbsp;first&nbsp;nursing&nbsp;job&nbsp;on&nbsp;2&nbsp;North&nbsp;and&nbsp;met&nbsp;him&nbsp;during&nbsp;morning&nbsp;huddle,&nbsp;that&nbsp;involved&nbsp;discussing&nbsp;patient&nbsp;care&nbsp;together&nbsp;with&nbsp;social&nbsp;work.&nbsp; Skip&nbsp;forward&nbsp;to&nbsp;2021,&nbsp;Devin&nbsp;was&nbsp;working&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;float&nbsp;pool&nbsp;but&nbsp;joined&nbsp;her&nbsp;old&nbsp;2N&nbsp;coworkers&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;softball&nbsp;tournament.&nbsp;This&nbsp;story&nbsp;would&nbsp;be&nbsp;really&nbsp;boring&nbsp;if&nbsp;Sam&nbsp;wasn't&nbsp;there,&nbsp;right?&nbsp;We&nbsp;played&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;tournament,&nbsp;and&nbsp;thanks&nbsp;to&nbsp;Sam&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;few&nbsp;others,&nbsp;we&nbsp;did&nbsp;get&nbsp;a&nbsp;run&nbsp;or&nbsp;two.&nbsp;With&nbsp;the&nbsp;tournament&nbsp;ending,&nbsp;sooner&nbsp;than&nbsp;expected,&nbsp;we&nbsp;all&nbsp;went&nbsp;for&nbsp;lunch&nbsp;and&nbsp;made&nbsp;it&nbsp;a&nbsp;beach&nbsp;day.&nbsp;It&nbsp;was&nbsp;such&nbsp;an&nbsp;awesome&nbsp;day&nbsp;with&nbsp;friends.&nbsp;Later&nbsp;that&nbsp;week,&nbsp;we&nbsp;started&nbsp;texting,&nbsp;meeting&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;"diner"&nbsp;for&nbsp;coffee,&nbsp;and&nbsp;trying&nbsp;to&nbsp;figure&nbsp;out&nbsp;ways&nbsp;to&nbsp;see&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;throughout&nbsp;the&nbsp;day.&nbsp; On&nbsp;our&nbsp;first&nbsp;date,&nbsp;Sam&nbsp;picked&nbsp;up&nbsp;Devin,&nbsp;and&nbsp;they&nbsp;went&nbsp;to&nbsp;Oliver's&nbsp;Rooftop&nbsp;for&nbsp;dinner.&nbsp;Devin&nbsp;was&nbsp;just&nbsp;a&nbsp;tad&nbsp;nervous.&nbsp;*insert&nbsp;picture&nbsp;of&nbsp;Dev&nbsp;freaking&nbsp;out&nbsp;to&nbsp;Bailey&nbsp;minutes&nbsp;before&nbsp;Sam&nbsp;picked&nbsp;her&nbsp;up*.&nbsp;The&nbsp;dinner&nbsp;was&nbsp;amazing&nbsp;and&nbsp;then&nbsp;we&nbsp;went&nbsp;to&nbsp;Sam's&nbsp;to&nbsp;watch&nbsp;a&nbsp;movie.&nbsp;Specifically,&nbsp;a&nbsp;stand-up&nbsp;comedy&nbsp;starring&nbsp;Nate&nbsp;Bargaze.&nbsp;Our&nbsp;second&nbsp;date&nbsp;was&nbsp;at&nbsp;Presque&nbsp;Isle&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;day&nbsp;of&nbsp;kayaking.&nbsp; From&nbsp;there,&nbsp;it&nbsp;was&nbsp;one&nbsp;thing&nbsp;after&nbsp;the&nbsp;other,&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;best&nbsp;way.&nbsp;From&nbsp;skydiving,&nbsp;to&nbsp;meeting&nbsp;each&nbsp;other's&nbsp;families,&nbsp;and&nbsp;then&nbsp;spontaneously&nbsp;booking&nbsp;our&nbsp;first&nbsp;cruise.&nbsp;In&nbsp;a&nbsp;quick&nbsp;six&nbsp;months,&nbsp;we&nbsp;finally&nbsp;understood&nbsp;what&nbsp;all&nbsp;the&nbsp;older&nbsp;couples&nbsp;usually&nbsp;say.&nbsp;When&nbsp;you&nbsp;know,&nbsp;you&nbsp;know.

We love the Tav! It's a great spot to relax and hang out. It's even close to the wedding reception venue so it's an awesome place if you want to spot in between.

McKean Tavern

This is also a great place to hang out! With it being so close to the reception venue, it's another great option to hang out while waiting for the party to start.

Hey everyone! If you are going to be staying at the Comfort Inn and Suites (the first hotel listed under the hotel tab on the website), then you have the option to ride the shuttle bus from the hotel after the ceremony to the reception and then back later that evening. If you choose to do this, please be back to the hotel and ready to get on the bus 15 minutes prior to the departure time. There are two shuttle times available depending on when you would like to get to the reception. First Departure from Hotel to the Reception: 4:15pmSecond Departure from Hotel: 4:35pm Towards the end of the night, there will be a shuttle to transport you back to the hotel. There are three times available depending on how long you would like to stay at the reception.
