Devon & Michaels Love Story

Michael and Devon met on a hot summer Texas day in July 2021!

Devon was out to celebrate her girlfriend's surprise birthday party happy hour in downtown Austin. Michael was in town visiting his buddy (shout out Suraj) to go the Austin FC soccer game that night.

Devon almost didn't go to the party because parking was nearly impossible, but by fate, she found a parking space at the last minute before giving up. She got there early to help set up the party when a group of people came in, she instantly noticed Michael and the two locked eyes.

Devon thought he was very handsome but assumed he must have been taken and didn't think much of it since it seemed as though most people walking in were couples .

Michael saw Devon and thought she was beautiful, and he needed to talk to her so Suraj, Michaels buddy (being the great wing man he is) came over to strike up a conversation with Devon. He was so friendly!

Michael was across from Devon at the bar and with a big smile on his face he asked her "what's that you're drinking?"

Devon smiled and said, "an aperol spritz!" Michael looked at the bartender and said "that sounds great, I'll have what she's having." Michael got his drink and made his way over to the group to introduce himself.

Devon and Michael started chatting and eventually Michael convinced her to get a last minute ticket to the FC game.

Michael helped Devon get into the game and with the greatest pick up line of all time, he leaned in to tell her, "you are intimidatingly pretty". She blushed thinking this guy is too charming!

The two spent the entire soccer game talking and barely watched the match. They went out that night and had the best time.

Michael went back to Houston the next day, but came right back down to Austin the next weekend to take Devon out on a proper date and the rest is history!

Michael and Devon have a love that is pure, easy, and joyful. These lovebirds are always laughing, traveling, enjoying good food and wine. They love their family and friends, frequent sporting events, go on adventures in nature and are obsessed with their dog Bowie.

The two believe God truly brought them together that day as each of them was an answer to one another's prayer and continues to be.
