We almost didn’t meet . . . .

Mutual friends had tried on several occasions to introduce us. Something always came up with my job or family. Apparently, I was down to the last chance to meet Diana due to my cancellation history. The day came and we were to both be at a birthday party. I was hoping that Diana would cancel the final “arranged meeting” because I was sooooo tired. I had been up late sampling adult beverages with friends.

When we finally met, Diana thought that I was not interested in getting to know her. I was tired and not very talkative. I thought she was beautiful with an infectious smile. So, I left the birthday party to grab some coffee for us both. Not only did it help my conversation flow but I earned “brownie points” with Diana because she LOVES coffee. We talked and talked and talked the rest of the night. The rest is history.
