How it all began…

When a farmer and his family needed some extra help, I got asked. Jodi (Jeremy’s sister) has been one of my good, close friends for years and she asked if I wanted to work on the dairy farm. I came in and started working for Jeremy in December of 2016. I knew of him but not that well. I was in a relationship at the time but things were rocky so Jeremy was my shoulder to cry on/vent to during work. Between him and the rest of his family they would ALWAYS cheer me up/make me feel better which would turn into me laughing and snorting (yes I snort for those who don’t know). My snort was one of many things that Jeremy loved about me. Things with my relationship were called off and Jeremy and I started talking more. There was a bad snow storm one time after milking and I went to get dinner, he texted me if I made it home okay. We got to talking about dinner and ice cream (he got Culver’s) and said he would share his with me. I came over one night for a Culver’s “date”, fell in love with his dog Jax, cat Simon and that was the start of our relationship. Shortly after getting together, we found a stray cat right outside our door in the middle of a snow storm. Jeremy didn’t have the heart to kill her since she had a broken leg so we ended up with a 3 legged cat named Dior. We worked together as a couple on the farm until the cows were sold in 2018. With the new change in our lives, we started work in other places (Jeremy at seats and I at a call center). Later that same year I ended up at Seats and once again we were a couple working together (different departments). As time went on we went on our first vacation together (I had to fight him tooth and nail for that!) and also getting our 4th fur baby Opie that we rescued. His department ended up moving down to Iowa later at the beginning of COVID and a chance arose for us to move. During another new chapter in our relationship, we not only grew as a couple but as people ourselves. The experience was rough but in the end we don’t regret anything. What we thought would be a permanent move, ended up with us coming back home after a year since Jeremy got a better opportunity at Seats in Wisconsin. On our 5 year anniversary, we celebrated with a staycation at the Kalahari recreating our first official date. I thought for sure he was going to propose but never did. I found out a few days later he had the ring with him the entire time (yes even in the room). Because of his humor after I found out, he messed with me whenever he could about proposing BUT New Year’s Eve of 2022 came later that year and he popped the question in the comfort of our home. In 2023 we went on our 2nd vacation together (which shockingly Jeremy wanted/asked for it) and after our wonderful experience in the Dominican, Jeremy realized that taking time for ourselves and relaxing isn’t that bad actually. After all of that, our love still grows for each other every passing day. We can’t wait for what other chapters we will endure in our lifetime and the rest is history ❤️
