This train ride will take you through tunnels, river gorges, and valleys. The journey starts at Bryson City, which is an hour away from Murphy. Trips can be 3.5 hours or all day, depending on your preference. Meals are provided with this excursion, and the movie Fugitive was filmed here.

Ride pedal motor-assisted Railbikes (similar to e-bikes) 20 minutes away from Murphy in Andrews, NC. You'll want to bring a drink and snack. The fair is $49.99 per person and is available Wednesday through Sunday. The bikes seat 4 individuals each, and you must be at least 4 years old to ride.

7. Seed Orchard and Beech Creek Loop: 5 minutes, estimated to be 1 hour and 54 minutes.

8. Helton Creek Falls near Blairsville, GA: 1 mile. Not for beginners!

9. Swinging Bridge on Toccoa River near Blue Ridge, GA: 15 minute hike with swinging bridge!

10. Sea Creek Falls in Suches, GA: Half of a mile to get to the waterfall. Great for kids!
