Wedding Party

Groom: Dominique Colwan (to be Harrell)

Maid of Honor: Jasmine Dismuke

Jasmine has been my rock throughout the years, and I cannot imagine going through life without her by my side. She's been there through the good times and the bad, always offering a listening ear and a supportive shoulder to lean on. Her unwavering love and friendship have helped me through some of the toughest times in my life. She is also the proud mother to my god-daughter Sonali. Jasmine, I am truly grateful for your presence in my life and for standing by my side on this special day. I could not have asked for a better friend, and I am honored to have you as my maid of honor. Thank you for being you.

Groomsman: Kyle Hamilton

Kyle and Dominique met when they both decided to change their lives forever and join the Navy. Going through boot camp together developed a bond that stretches across the globe. Although they are not always in the same location, they find time to make phone calls, plan trips, and attend every major event in each other's lives. They share values, support each other's dreams, and even have a shared tattoo. Kyle and Dominique are brothers in spirit and heart, and we are proud to call him family.

Groomsman: Ricardo Benito

Ricardo is not just a groomsman, he is Dominique's brother who brings him an immense amount of love and happiness. They developed an inseparable bond since they met in 2020 when Dominique transferred to Washington State. Being a younger brother figure to Dominique, Ricardo can bring him joy and comfort that only a sibling can. They spent countless hours together, giving each other advice, and supporting each other's dreams. They are not just friends; they are family.

Groomsman: Miguel Martinez

Miguel is someone who holds a special place in the Dom's heart. They have known each other since 2017 and Miguel has been instrumental in introducing the Dom to new experiences that have had a long-lasting effect on his life. Miguel first served as the Dom's trainer and provided him with guidance on how to navigate the military. In 2017, Miguel and his family helped Dom find his first car, which he used to travel 8 hours every weekend when we first started dating. Dom loves Miguel and his family and feels like his overall family has grown.

Groom: Scott Harrell

Best Man: Myles Thompson

While I've known Myles the least amount of time I'd say that Myles knows me the most. I met Myles in 2017 while playing video games at a bar and we struck up a fast friendship. Celebrating the happy moments and supporting each other during sad moments. Myles and I have always been there for each other; lending an ear or advice as needed. I'm proud to have Myles be my best man at the wedding; he's my best friend, my partner in crime, & like family to me.

Officiant & Groomsman: Rick Oculto

Rick and I became good friends during 2013 and we kept in touch while I lived in Texas. We became room mates in 2017 and he has become one of the closest friends I have in my life. If I don't move out soon I will have been living with Rick for 7 years as of March of 2024. We have a love of watching movies and tv shows together; especially anything featuring comics or romance. I will forever hear in my back of my head "Ugh! I hate it!" said with true glee as two characters kiss on screen.

Groomsman: Benjamin Wilson

I've known Ben since Dec. 2012 when at a karaoke night at Toad Hall he introduced himself to me as I was a new face in a group of gay gamers having a meet up. Ben has always been a gregarious and kind person; I can honestly say I wouldn't have half my friends in San Francisco if he hadn't introduced me to them. From brunch, to board games, to Dolores Park days in the sun; Ben has been a staple in my life.

Groomsman: Chris Harrell

Certainly the longest individual I've known of the Wedding Party. Chris is my brother and has always been there for me throughout my life. He's been a role model for me in many ways; including being an example that a long distance relationship can become a happy marriage. I was very lucky and honored to stand beside my brother during his wedding and I can't wait for the day he can stand beside me at my wedding.
