Joseph and Donna spent their first year apart in a long distance relationship driving three hours between Shreveport and Lafayette. One day, after Joseph was introduced to Donna's parents during a Lunar's New Year celebration, her parents' jaws dropped. That night, Donna and her parents went into a deep discussion as she stated, "At least he is a boy." After several discussions to change occupations, Joseph moved to Shreveport in search of a new adventure and decided to further his education at BPCC to become a COTA. During their first few years in Shreveport, they would meet at their favorite coffee shops, working out at the local gym, and spending time outside at the local parks. Now, outside of work, they can be seen spending intimate time with each others' families and enjoying their favorite hobbies such as music (Joe enjoys concerts and festivals), sleeping (Donna enjoys taking hibernation naps), working out (Joe is a gym addict), and playing video games (...). Fast forward to almost 6 years later, from exchanging a few flirtatious words, to FaceTiming every day and night, and going on adventurous trips to other states/countries, there was always chemistry between the two from the start.
