Doug and Krista started dating in December, 2020. Although they started chatting in early December both were shy and nervous and didn't meet up until the evening of Christmas Eve before each of them parted ways to their families annual Christmas Eve get togethers! At this point Doug kept telling Krista he didn't know what this was or was going to be but Krista knew she had him from day one ;)


They waited until mid to late January to fill their families in on the news! Krista met Doug's son Brett soon after where she felt so much love for him and hoped she would become the Mom she always dreamed of!


Early into their relationship they knew it would become a love story that kept on going. Doug's sister Pippy always said Krista fit into the family like an "old sock". Krista's mom knew Krista finally found the one very early on and to this day will pick up for Doug over Krista at any given opportunity.


Krista knew she loved Doug the moment she saw how great of a dad he was and how close he was to Brett. A year later, the day their nephew Bryce was born, was when the true love story began as they became an Auntie and Uncle together for the first time.


The love Doug has for Krista, Brett and their nephews is the strongest love Krista has ever witnessed. Doug feels that Krista entered his life during its darkest moments, where she led him to the brightest ones he had only ever dreamed of.
