David and Dre have said this from the beginning: they met at exactly the right time in each of their lives, and it was always meant to be them in the end.

Dre was a coach at UpReach Crossfit. David was a new member at the gym. Over they course of several months, they slowly struck up a friendship, not initially thinking about their potential as romantic partners. Their friendship continued to grow. Then, David started dropping off early morning coffees with handwritten notes (!!!) at the gym while Dre was coaching classes. Dre finally agreed to go out with him, after careful consideration (and a few panicky rejections), eventually being won over by David's dazzling, swoon-inducing smile and his refreshingly positive energy. When they finally went out, their first date lasted nearly 8 hours. Before their first date was over, they were already hopelessly head over heels for each other.

They saw each other every day, even if it was for 5 minutes to say goodnight in Dre's apartment parking lot. They began to spend more time together, bringing out the best in each other. They learned how to love more deeply than they ever thought possible. Their lives clicked together effortlessly. They began to build a life together that they both loved and cherished. They supported each other in their dreams, while also building new dreams together. This was the fairy tale stuff that neither of them thought could ever happen in real life.

If you're someone who is close to David and/or Dre, you know that they've both weathered more than a few big storms, experienced pain, learned difficult lessons, and have worked very hard to heal and grow into the people they are today. Little did they know that these bumpy roads would eventually lead to each other. Their connection couldn't have happened any other way. They are so grateful for those of you who have supported them, and will continue to do so, along the way.

It was always supposed to be us from the start.
