Q + A

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP by Saturday, April 12th, 2025

How do I RSVP?

On our website. Go to the RSVP tab.

Is this an indoor or an outdoor wedding?

We hope to spend the majority of time outdoors for both ceremony and reception, weather permitting. The venue does have an indoor option that we may use if necessary.

Can I stay at the wedding venue?

Unfortunately, there are not enough rooms at the venue for all of our guests. We will be giving the option for family to book first. Once family is accounted for, we may then extend the offer to book to friends, prioritizing guests that are traveling from far away. Please do not book with Old Taos Guesthouse unless asked by the couple to do so. Look to the travel tab for other options nearby.

What are the plans for the rehearsal dinner/welcome event?

We are looking for another way to spend some quality time with all of our guests. We have only invited about 40 guests, so in lieu of a wedding party, we have decided to treat everyone as equally honored guests. Hence this event being open to everyone. We just haven't quite yet decided the details on this one. Stay tuned.

What is Garden Party Attire?

The emphasis is on semi-formal and suited for the outdoors. We encourage clothes that offer some ease of movement. Activities of the reception are still TBD, but lawn games and an awesome dance party are not out of the question. Again think comfortable, practical, and classy. Example for women: a cocktail-length dress or dressy separates. Example for men: a button up or collared shirt and nice pants; jacket and ties are optional.

Can I change my clothes for the recpetion?

Absolutely. If you would like to change into something more casual after the ceremony, you are most welcome to.

What is Taos weather like in May?

In Taos the average highs are in the 70s and the average lows are in the high 30s in May. Please bring layers as the temperature can change greatly in the high desert from day to night.

Can I bring a plus one?

Yes. Your plus one can be a significant other, family member, friend, or anyone else that will make you more comfortable at our celebration. We ask that you account for your plus one when you RSVP.

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Yes, children are allowed at the wedding. We have tried to include everyone's children in the invitations, but please let us know if there is a little one that we missed.

Will there be food and drinks provided at the wedding?

Yes, we have you taken care of. Details are still TBD, but we plan on having enough food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages for everyone. We will likely limit our alcoholic drink selection to beer and wine. You are welcome to bring your own beverage if preferred. Please report any dietary restrictions when you RSVP.

Can I take photos at your wedding?

We ask that no photos or videos be taken during the ceremony. However, cell-phone photography during the reception is totally fine.

How will I know about wedding updates?

We will email you any important information or if there are any big changes. Checking back on the wedding website closer to the wedding date on items that are listed "to be determined" should suffice in most cases.
