Dylan first laid eyes on Tegan when he was waiting in the lobby to be interviewed at FairWarning, the company that Tegan had been working for at the time. Tegan does not remember seeing Dylan, but Dylan certainly remembers laying eyes on the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

Luckily for Dylan, not only did he get hired, but Tegan was tasked with training Dylan. This started a completely platonic, non-flirty relationship that lasted for several months consisting of taking long walks to the candy bowl for the uncommonly present but much desired Reese's Cups, endless messages on Skype like complaining about how no one brought in bagels for breakfast, and bonding over casual lunch "sodas".

Several months later during the weekend of Halloween, Tegan hosted a party at her apartment. Tegan dressed up as a witch, and Dylan dressed as Forest Gump. Tegan certainly put a spell on Dylan that night because they had endless fun dancing together and shared a nice, sloppy kiss on the dance floor of a club. They went on a more formal date the week after and have been together ever since.
