Without giving too much away, Meow Wolf is a permanent interactive art installation. There is a large puzzle involved (though this will take multiple visits to fully solve and we recommend just enjoying the experience).
There are four across the country, and we have been to three of them so far. We highly recommend this activity and suggest to go in knowing as little as possible! Try to purchase tickets in advance to guarantee a spot.
Located roughly 90 minutes from the hotel, Rocky Mountain National Park is one of sixty-three national parks in the United States. We highly recommend visiting this park. Though there is some great hiking here, if you're looking for a less active experience you can drive through and park and visit some of the exhibits on the side of the road, or simply find a nice parking spot to observe the Elk or other wildlife!
Rocky National Park is located at a higher elevation than Denver, please be aware of possible altitude sickness.
The park is also implementing a timed entrance system starting in May 2024, so you will need to reserve a timed slot to enter the park ahead of time: Time Permit System Information.
The National Park System has some great resources for summer visits to this park: Summer Visits Information.
