Our Wedding

Andrew and Kristen met on Hinge and had their first date December 2017. We have overcome bad accidents, health scares, and most importantly long distance. Thank goodness Andrew has the patience of a saint and has been able to lead us for almost eight years. Andrew makes everything better and easier. The last two years have certainly been more fun and joyful just because of his presence. That is my favorite thing about Andrew. He makes even the hard moments more fun and funny and creates the best moments in the good times. In 2024 Kristen’s dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer and we started discussing moving to Dallas and marriage more intentionally. This summer we decided we were ready and everything began moving quickly after that decision. In September we took Mr. and Mrs. Deptula to Colorado where Andrew asked for permission for Kristen’s hand in marriage and laid out a plan. On October 7th very early in the morning Andrew proposed after a northern lights tour in Iceland. We did not get pictures except for before the tour at a virtual reality experience which is now highlighted on the website. We work well under pressure so have decided to pull together a wedding in two months and are honored that you all have been so supportive. Having each of you there means so much and we appreciate the time and sacrifices you have made to make it to our weekend! In 2025 Robert and Jeanne Deptula celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary and Craig and Gerry Sanderson honored 45 years married! We recognize what an accomplishment that is and feel very lucky to have such incredible role models and supporters.

Nora is our five-year-old neice going on fifteen! She is the second oldest girl in the wedding party and will definitely help us keep the boys in line!

Henry is our nephew and cutest four-year-old we ever did see. Uncle Andrew and I promised him we would wait until he got to Dallas to get married and are so excited for him to meet Pepper and Ginger.

At six years old Katherine is the oldest child in our wedding party and we know she will do an incredible job of helping us out with the littlest ones during the wedding ceremony. She is already such a good big sister to Kensie and Kristofer and they all had practice being in their sister’s wedding earlier this year. She started asking to be our flower girl at the beginning of the year so it was a no brainer on who to put in charge of the team!

Kensington is four-years-old and a very good big sister to Kristofer and little sister to Katherine. All three siblings had practice as flower girls and ring bearer earlier this year at their sister’s wedding. I cannot wait for her to meet Bella and know she will help so much with the younger boys.

Colt is the youngest member of the wedding party. He will be almost seven months at the wedding and will roll up in style!

Bella is four-years-old and very good at making and organizing friends! Little brother Logan wants to be wherever Bella is so we are hoping he will follow her down the aisle!

Logan will be two-and-a-half-years-old at the wedding. He is so cute and wants to follow everything big sister Bella does. We plan to use this to our advantage! This summer we taught him to say “yee-haw!”

Perri just turned four-years-old and became a big sister to Greer. She is the oldest daughter of Kristen’s cousin, and has had practice as a flower girl before! She also loves seeing Uncle Cameron.

Charlie is the almost three-year-old of Kristen’s best friend, Charlotte. He is absolutely the most polite of the bunch and has had to grow up quickly this year and help around the house with the addition of his new sister, Caroline.

Sloan is a little over two-and-a-half, but about to turn seventeen. It seems like two-and-a-half years ago all of our best friends had babies, but we anticipate Sloan will take charge of the other boys her age: Dax, Kristofer, Logan, and Charlie.

The Sweetest Wedding Party

The link provided should take you to a website with the room block rate, but if you call to reserve please let them know you are booking with the Deptula/Sanderson Wedding. There is no obligation to book at this hotel, however the Hilton Anatole will be the only venue with an organized shuttle for the wedding on Saturday. The room block is $199 for a standard room, but must be booked by November 19th for the room block rate. There are two sides to the hotel. The Tower has been more recently updated and is closer to the holiday exhibits outside. The Atrium has the better city views and is where the shuttle is required to pick up. Both are great, but try to get a room near your friends! The Hilton Anatole is beautifully decorated for the holidays, centrally located, will be an easy meeting place for any other gatherings, has five in-site restaurants and in room dining, an ice skating rink AND even a breakfast with Santa if that is your thing. The hotel does require a $28 per night resort fee that includes two complimentary bottles of water, wifi internet access, access to the 80,000 square foot Verandah Athletic Club and Spa, and complimentary breakfast for children 9 years old and under. You will be very close to either Dallas Airport. Love Field is a 10 minute drive and DFW is a 15 minute drive to the Hilton Anatole.

Visit the most magical place in Dallas over the holidays! Here you will find the best in luxury shopping, Andrew’s and my favorite restaurant, over 1.5 million Christmas lights and horse drawn carriages for light tours of one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the United States. Carriage rides do fill quickly, so if you are interested you should reach out quickly. Parking is scarce, so we highly recommend using a ride sharing service.

This is such a fun activity as a kid or as an adult. Kristen and her cousins went last year and spent about 2 hours at the hotel. You can go through the exhibit in as little as 20 minutes. This year they feature Buddy, The Elf! Children under 3 are free with paid adult admission.
