Good evening everyone!

It is officially wedding year and what a magical year it has been so far with this recent snowfall!!❄️ As promised, I have more details on the exact venue of our reception and have conveniently selected a venue that can accommodate all guests to stay in one place. We have created a “Lodging Block” with Highland Lake Inn & Resort located in Lake Toxaway, NC. This resort has multiple options of lodging some of which include cabins, suites, cottages, and more! Initially looking at the lodging options on the website can be overwhelming because it does not have a listing for each individual room. Because of the difficulty understanding what each room entails, I have worked closely with the event coordinator to map out the perfect place for each guest to stay. The 5 options for lodging include: The Historic Lodge, The Woodward House, Premium Suites, Cabins, and Historic Poolside Cottages. The Historic Lodge has a total of 20 rooms and a common area living space for guests to be together. The Woodward house has a total of 16 rooms, 3 of which are the premium suites. The Woodward house also has a living room, similar to the Historic Lodge. I initially would like to keep family and close family friends all together so I tentatively have the Scully family and close family friends in The Historic Lodge and have the Newby family and close family friends in the Woodward house to keep everyone together.😊 There are four different types of cabins: (4) Large cabin rooms, (4) Small cabin rooms, (1) Large Cabin Room 105, and (1) Small Cabin Room 106. The only difference between the Large cabin and Small Cabin is the square footage. Large Cabin Room 105 is a 2 bedroom cabin with a king bed and twin bed in one room and a full sized bed in the other and this cabin adjoins with Small Cabin Room 106 which has one queen bed. They can be added together to accommodate one family/group or can remain separate. Lastly, we have the Historic Pool Side Cottages. There are 6 different cottages all of which offer different size rooms varying from 2 bed 2 bath (to sleep four) to a 4 bed 2 bath (to sleep ten). Each cottage offers all household amenities and are multi bedroom units. We have chosen for all of our friends to stay in the cabins and cottages to make it a comfortable stay for all with your own privacy. However, if you have any special requests or accommodations, please do not hesitate to let us know that way every guest can be satisfied. We do have a room assignment chart created, but for everyone’s privacy, we will not post it publicly.

In order to get your room assignment please privately message Nicky or myself. We will provide you with the type/style of room selected, where it will be, all amenities it comes with, and pricing for whichever dates you would like to stay. Once you have been informed of your room assignment and are happy with the selection, it’s time to book!😊 In order to book, you MUST CALL TO RESERVE YOUR ROOM!! The event coordinator stressed to me that it cannot be done online. You will call the number +1(800)-635-5101 and provide them with the booking ID 20659. It is important to call and book with the ID number provided in order to be a part of the block and receive the 10% discount included.

It is also important to note that all rooms must be booked by Wednesday, July 26th, 2025. If your room is not booked by this date, your room will be opened up to the public for anyone to book.
