Our Wedding

Technology brought Edwin & Doni together! They met in June 2021 on a dating app and had an amazing first date. They played pool and enjoyed each other’s company so much that they decided to grab a bottle of wine and go to one of their favorite restaurants, Tango Sur. Dinner was such a blast that they kept the evening going. They picked up Doni’s pups to take them for a walk at the lake and the rest, as they say, is history!

How we met 

For Edwin’s birthday in September 2021, the two took their first trip together to Lake Atitlan in beautiful Guatemala. And what a wonderful trip it was! From this lookout 7 volcanoes were in view.

Edwin and Doni learned quickly that they had so many things in common and one of them was sports. They love watching sports, playing sports, and attending sporting events. Here are some pics of just a couple of their favorite sporting events over the years.

Our Amazing Kids

In April 2022, Edwin took Doni on a trip of a lifetime! The two visited Spain and their two weeks abroad couldn’t have been more perfect. While there, they spent most of their time with family and friends in Madrid. They even managed to escape to the South of Spain (Granada) for a weekend and enjoyed the beautiful aqueducts in Segovia.

In the summer of 2023, Edwin & Doni were able to travel to some beautiful places and one of the most memorable trips was to Cancun with Doni’s family. While there, they rode jet skis, ate amazing food, rented a catamaran for the family, drank, danced, and made the most amazing memories. Cheers to our first family trip with the kids! ❤️

Softball has been one of their favorite summer pastimes. Edwin plays in a CTA league and Doni is the scorekeeper for the team. It’s one of the many things they love to do together!

Travel will always be a wonderful part of Edwin & Doni’s story. They both love to experience new cultures, explore beautiful cities, and taste flavors unlike anything else. But what they have come to learn is their favorite way to travel is together. For Valentine’s Day 2024, Edwin whisked Doni away for a weekend getaway to Toronto and Niagara Falls, both of which were on her bucket list. What an absolutely amazing trip!!

Who would’ve thought that family are your built-in lifelong friends?! We get to hang out, travel, spend holidays and birthdays together. We’re there for all the big (and little) moments in life and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Our guests are flying in at different times so we decided to give our guests time to fly in, drop their luggage off and make their way to Mercado de San Miguel. We will meet in the afternoon at this beautiful market, which offers local food, delicacies &amp; events in an elegant ambiance.

Madrid’s grand central square is found in the heart of Hapsburg Madrid, the oldest part of the city. Steeped in history, the bustling plaza is the perfect place to begin our stroll through one of Madrid’s most charming districts. While here, we can grab some coffee at one of the sunny terraces, buy a souvenir, watch street musicians and artists working their magic, and soak up the city’s rich history.

For those who would like to join us for an after lunch stroll, we will head over to the Royal Palace of Madrid, near our lunch spot. The palace is the official residence of the Spanish royal family at the city of Madrid, although now used only for state ceremonies. IMPORTANT NOTE: There are no tickets to purchase for this as we will just be walking outside and do not plan to go inside the palace. Following our stroll around the palace, we will likely head back to our hotel and get ready for an evening of Flamenco and dinner, known as Tablao in Spain, at Corral de La Moreira.
