What is the weather like in Chios?
We are so excited for our loved ones to join us during our wedding abroad in our favorite place. Chios during July is hot during the day, but it does cool down at night to a very comfortable temperature once the sun sets.
Where is the reception located?
The old school in Vavili, Chios. You will not need transportation as it is a short walk from the church.
Where should I stay that is close to the village?
These areas are close to Vavili 10-15 minutes away. Agia Fotia or Agia Fotini, Megas Limnionas, Kallimasia, Karfas, Kambos, Neohori.
The downtown which is also called Chios (or Hora) is about 15 minutes away.
If you are thinking... I haven't been to a Greek wedding, how do they dance in Chios!?
Please don't be nervous about this! We plan on dancing the night away during our wedding reception. The good news is the traditional Chios dance is very easy to learn! I have added some videos of previous Panigiria (festivals) where you can familiarize yourself with the steps and the music. Most important thing is to have fun! We want to dance with all of you! :)

What Should I Wear?
For the Ladies: The weather in Chios is warm during the day but can be cooler once the sun goes down. I would recommend of course to be comfortable. You can wear any variation of dress--short, midi, maxi. Bring a scarf or a shawl just in case.
For the Gentlemen: No need to wear a suit or coat and tie. A nice pair of slacks with a button down collared shirt is more than acceptable!
