The best flight path is to fly to Athens and then take a short, 45 minute, flight from Athens to Chios. Keep in mind that the flights to Chios are limited. There is also a ferry that goes from Athens to Chios overnight.

We recommend that you book your rental car EARLY if you plan on renting a car. Typically, the manual cars are a little bit cheaper, but as the season picks up in the summer most car rental shops sell out of both manual and automatic. Typically, the car rental company can bring the vehicle to the airport. Expect to pay anywhere from 50-80 euros/day depending on the availability and transmission (manual vs automatic).
