Eli and Tylee grew up just 15 miles apart, but somehow, our paths never crossed until after college. Despite being so close, we never met in person.


Neither of us had much experience with dating apps, but we both felt that the Lord was calling us to try that route. After some prayer and reflection, we decided to step out in faith and give it a go, coincidentally at the same time. To make sure we weren’t total strangers, we kicked things off with a phone call just to get a sense of each other’s personalities. Thankfully, no red flags!


Our first date was memorable for a lot of reasons, not the least of which was how smooth it went. We were both pleasantly surprised at how naturally the conversation flowed. It felt like we had known each other for far longer than just a few hours. We were also shocked at how much our thoughts and beliefs aligned—on everything from faith to future goals. It was one of those rare moments where everything just clicked.


As we grew closer, Eli started making the two-hour drive from Dayton to Findlay twice a week just to spend time with Tylee. It was a lot of driving, but it was worth every mile. Our relationship has truly been a blessing, and we’re so grateful that God brought us together, even if it meant long car rides and late nights. We’re excited to build our life together and can’t wait to celebrate with all our friends and family!
