Our Wedding

Eli and Tylee grew up just 15 miles apart, but somehow, our paths never crossed until after college. Despite being so close, we never met in person. Neither of us had much experience with dating apps, but we both felt that the Lord was calling us to try that route. After some prayer and reflection, we decided to step out in faith and give it a go, coincidentally at the same time. To make sure we weren’t total strangers, we kicked things off with a phone call just to get a sense of each other’s personalities. Thankfully, no red flags! Our first date was memorable for a lot of reasons, not the least of which was how smooth it went. We were both pleasantly surprised at how naturally the conversation flowed. It felt like we had known each other for far longer than just a few hours. We were also shocked at how much our thoughts and beliefs aligned—on everything from faith to future goals. It was one of those rare moments where everything just clicked. As we grew closer, Eli started making the two-hour drive from Dayton to Findlay twice a week just to spend time with Tylee. It was a lot of driving, but it was worth every mile. Our relationship has truly been a blessing, and we’re so grateful that God brought us together, even if it meant long car rides and late nights. We’re excited to build our life together and can’t wait to celebrate with all our friends and family!

Shae is Tylee's favorite and only sister! Tylee loves to get to visit Shae, her husband Clark, and her two nieces in the Washington D.C. area. Shae and Tylee enjoy getting to go on thrifting adventures, playing with the girls, and eating good food together!

Tylee first met Laura her sophomore year at Cedarville and then became college roommates her junior and senior year! They both share the love of adventure and have gone on hundreds of adventures together (traveling to Maine, Utah, and skydiving to name a few).

Mackenzie and Tylee met through their shared education classes at Cedarville! They then became roommates for 2 years post grad and got to enjoy many adventures with each other! Together they have traveled to numerous states, gone on lots of hikes, and spent many hours talking!

Tylee and Rebekah first met through their shared friends while attending Cedarville their sophomore year! Since then they have enjoyed getting to go on annual camping trips, cross country trip to Utah, and cooked many great meals together!

Through some great mutual friends (and living 2 doors away in the college dorm), Tylee met Lauren while attending Cedarville their sophomore year. They have shared traveling, being in their many friends weddings, and getting to binge watch our favorite Netflix shows.

Thanks to their common love for the gym Makayla and Tylee became quick friends after meeting their sophomore year of college! They have been able to see each other during their trips to Maine and Ohio and enjoy getting to obviously workout, hike, swim, and do any outdoor activities!

Madelaine and Tylee first met in the Cedarville dorms through their mutual friends their sophomore year! Since then they have been able to take many trips together to Hawaii and Maine while also enjoying spending time going for walks or having a fun game night.

Shoutout to Fairview Elementary for the beginning of Tylee and Michelle's friendship! They became friends as they both were 3rd grade teachers during Tylee's third year of teaching. Thanks to their shared love of sports Michelle helped Tylee with their students intramurals and became quick friends after that!

Madi is Eli’s favorite sister! Madi has been married for 3 years to her husband, Austin. During COVID, Madi got a job offer to relocate to Florida, and she is the reason that Eli's whole family now lives down south! Madi is definitely the most relaxed person that you will ever meet! Oddly enough, because of work schedules, Madi and Tylee didn't meet for the first time until after Tylee and Eli got engaged!

Ashton and Eli met during college at the University of Findlay. They struck up a conversation on the first day of class and have best friends ever since! He is a cybersecurity analyst for an automation company. Ashton is your favorite IT guy's favorite IT guy. He is a super nerd and can definitely help your grandma with her 10-year old computer!

Lincoln is Eli's not so little brother. He plays basketball and does judo. A little-known fact about Lincoln, at one time, he was one of the top 10 best Wii golfers on the planet! Lincoln is the most talented of all his siblings. Lincoln is the kind of guy to go 2 years without touching a basketball, show up to your local pickup game, and drop a double-double like he has been doing it all his life. Lincoln has played almost every sport, soccer, judo, soccer, and he even knows how to play guitar (watch out ladies)!

Austin is Eli's brother-in-law. When they were in high school, they played soccer against each other, not realizing that Austin secretly had a crush on his sister!

Aaron is Eli's cousin. Aaron is actually the world's best travel buddy (he will get you to your destination 30% faster than the GPS estimate).

Robbie and Eli are friends through Tylee and Mackenzie! He is a big bible nerd and definitely wants to talk to you about theology. Robbie is too humble to tell you that he got a 36 on his ACT.

Trysten and Eli have known each other since they were in kindergarten. Though they weren't close friends in school, they both went to Living Hope Church and have become good friends since graduating. Trysten was probably the only 8th grader in Riverdale High School history to dunk a basketball.

Eli and Jordan met each other through work. Jordan is also a software engineer at Marathon Petroleum. He is too humble to tell you this, but Jordan used to squat 800 pounds, and he is definitely the strongest person you'll ever meet.

Casey is Tylee’s favorite brother! If there was anybody on Tylee's side of the family that could have a Dos Equis commercial made in their honor, it would be Casey. Casey has had almost every hobby known to man. He went into the Army after high school and lived in Europe for several years. He has worked security in Denver, served in barracks overseas, and worked as a night DJ in Germany. Casey is...the most interesting man in the world.

Coby and Eli met on their first day of preschool. Coby came up to Eli at their lockers and asked, "do you want to be friends?". To which Eli responded "yes", and they have been friends ever since. Coby can definitely beat you at any sport you challenge him to. He is also ambidextrous, so don't think you can force him to his left side. Coby graduated from BGSU and helps to run House of Color in Findlay. Coby is the man.
