The first time Austin was visiting LA, Elisa was searching around on Yelp! and found this place that called itself "a wine library". Needless to say, Austin was intrigued. When they went there, they found the atmosphere compelling, the charcuterie board (the "Beethoven board" as they call it there) delicious, and the wine to be far better than they had expected. They had an amazing time, even though they were severely under-dressed!

A classy brunch place that's closed on Sundays? Better believe it! And it's Elisa's&nbsp;favorite restaurant&nbsp;in San Marino. Every single item on the menu is fantastic. Have you ever had creme brulee french toast? Of course not, but doesn't it sound amazing? One thing to note: if you don't get there really early, you should be prepared to wait.

scoff at the fact this place is a chain. In Taiwan, people wait in line for

Located in LA’s Grand Central Market (Stall C-9), this one’s easy to miss amongst the hustle and bustle of the city’s largest and oldest public market. Kill multiple birds with one stone: swing by Angels Flight, visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s old office building, traverse the maze that is Grand Central Market and grab a Gordita at Ana Maria’s! You’ll be tempted to get one of their tacos or burritos. Do not! Just thinking about their slow-cooked tongue stuffed in deep-fried goodness makes my mouth water.

Elisa and Austin have been extraordinarily kind, thoughtful, and loyal - especially in difficult times. I am so grateful to be a part of their wedding, to celebrate the amazing people they are, and the inspiring life they are building together.

Our doctoral program brought us all together and now two of the most brilliant, caring, wonderful people I’ve come across in grad school are getting married! I am so happy our program let you find each other, but *more* importantly, I thank my lucky stars that it let *me* find you 😂!&nbsp;I am honored to be part of your wedding, and even more grateful to be part of your lives, now and always. Elisa, our friendship means the world to me; here’s to drinking whiskey “properly” and talking life, love, choices... and AI for hours on end. Ending Elisa’s reign as Only Child, I met her the day I was born. Thus began the era of Eleanor the Terrible, a time during which our parents would reminisce fondly of Elisa the Biter. When she was in high school, she decided I was cool enough to actually hang out with and has only had minor regrets since. I met Austin when my parents sent me on an intel-gathering mission. I am proud to say that my favorable report is largely the reason why they gave their seal of approval and we will be witnessing their nuptials in September!

Elisa took me in when I was just a little puppy. My first memories are of her taking me to the dog park and giving me empty water bottles to chew on. She spent an entire year training me, and I couldn't love anyone more.&nbsp;Now there's this Austin guy, who I guess is alright...

Kola Kim

From giving me piggy back rides to introducing me to IPAs after I turned 21, Elisa has always been there for me as an older sister. I only hoped that she found someone who can provide her a lifetime of happiness. I am happy to say that my verdict after spending time with Austin: she couldn’t have found a more perfect guy. As your (not so) little brother, I am so amped to walk Kola down the isle so that you guys can put a ring on it...literally 😉. Let’s give it up for the bride & groom! 🍻

The Huntington is a library, an art museum, and a botanical garden all in one! This institution located in San Marino (approximately 5 minutes from the Langham) is a must-see for anyone in the area.

This historic commercial hub located in the heart of Pasadena is the place to go to for food, shopping, and people-watching!
