Michael Abrams - Groomsman
I met Austin through a mutual friend at Stanford and he quickly became one of my closest friends. Elisa and Austin have been extraordinarily kind, thoughtful, and loyal - especially in difficult times. I am so grateful to be a part of their wedding, to celebrate the amazing people they are, and the inspiring life they are building together.

Our doctoral program brought us all together and now two of the most brilliant, caring, wonderful people I’ve come across in grad school are getting married! I am so happy our program let you find each other, but *more* importantly, I thank my lucky stars that it let *me* find you 😂! I am honored to be part of your wedding, and even more grateful to be part of your lives, now and always. Elisa, our friendship means the world to me; here’s to drinking whiskey “properly” and talking life, love, choices... and AI for hours on end. May our weekly traditions endure and may we still be complaining about the market together when we’re 90! Love always!

I met both Austin and Elisa when we all started graduate school together. At the time, I had no idea that they would become such a big part of my life. We've spent countless hours laughing, crying, rocking out, and dancing together. I'm so glad to be a part of their special day--and finally get to meet Kola Kim.
Isabel Iturrios-Fourzan - Flower Girl
I met Elisa and Austin when we all started our graduate program, but I knew for sure they were keepers when they took me in and offered some of their Italian takeout in Vegas. They are two of the loveliest people in my life, and I'm so happy I get to see their relationship blossom so wonderfully. So excited to see what's to come!

Ending Elisa’s reign as Only Child, I met her the day I was born. Thus began the era of Eleanor the Terrible, a time during which our parents would reminisce fondly of Elisa the Biter. When she was in high school, she decided I was cool enough to actually hang out with and has only had minor regrets since. I met Austin when my parents sent me on an intel-gathering mission. I am proud to say that my favorable report is largely the reason why they gave their seal of approval and we will be witnessing their nuptials in September!
Kola Kim - Co-Ring Bearer
Elisa took me in when I was just a little puppy. My first memories are of her taking me to the dog park and giving me empty water bottles to chew on. She spent an entire year training me, and I couldn't love anyone more. Now there's this Austin guy, who I guess is alright...
Lorenz Kim - Co-Ring Bearer
From giving me piggy back rides to introducing me to IPAs after I turned 21, Elisa has always been there for me as an older sister. I only hoped that she found someone who can provide her a lifetime of happiness. I am happy to say that my verdict after spending time with Austin: she couldn’t have found a more perfect guy. As your (not so) little brother, I am so amped to walk Kola down the isle so that you guys can put a ring on it...literally 😉. Let’s give it up for the bride & groom! 🍻
Gary Alan Ridgway III - Groomsman
I met Austin freshman year of college, and out of one conversation spiraled four plus years of musicianship, strength and assistance through hardship, and a lifetime of friendship. I'm very happy to able to be a part of something so important to him and Elisa :)
(you can include the smiley or not but just don't include this parenthetic statement or it might look weird????)
Alex Ruch - Groomsman
It all started with a “Yo, sit next to me!” in methods class, hours in the group processes lab of Seashore Hall, and many midnight pizza runs to Mesa. He’s been there for every high and low since then!
Chase van Loon - Groomsman
I'm Austin's younger brother. I really couldn't have asked for a better pal; whether we are playing cards or partying in Iowa City I can always count on having a great time with my big bro.
Katie Woodward - Bridesmaid
I met Elisa in 3rd grade. Somewhat intimidated by the only student who could complete a full multiplication chart faster than her teacher, I quickly realized she was an outstanding person and equally great friend. I am so lucky to know her and the rest of the Kim family, and deeply grateful to have Elisa as a BFF.
Grace Wu - Bridesmaid
Most important outcome of college? This friendship. A sisterhood built on K-town shenanigans that has since matured into early-night hangouts in sweatpants. Simply the best.
Christine Yew - Bridesmaid
We met freshman year of college and
were roommates senior year. Elisa has the biggest heart - she took me to her
home during school days so we could enjoy some family time, and drove me to
K-town for soup when I was sick. Wishing Elisa and Austin a lifetime of love,
happiness and good health!
