Jada has known Elisabeth since the first grade, but the two didn't become close friends until the 6th grade and quickly became best friends and travel buddies. They have explored Europe and cruised the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, visiting about eight countries and planning to visit many more. Elisabeth and Jada have the kind of friendship where, even if they don't physically see each other often due to distance, when they talk, things pick up right where they left off, and it feels like no time has passed at all. Elisabeth loves Jada for her big heart and adventurous spirit and is honored to have her as her Maid of Honor on her wedding day. To put it simply, there is nobody else that knows Elisabeth as Jada does.
Andrew Slagel - Officiant/Best Man
Ben and Andrew have been best friends almost since birth. They share countless memories, including Ben traveling to England to visit Andrew in 2019 while Andrew was at seminary school. Although they have been separated geographically, they remain very close, and Ben appreciates that they are just a call apart and can catch up and support each other. Ben is excited to have his best friend as his best man on his wedding day. Not only will Andrew be Ben's best man, but he will also do Elisabeth and Ben the honor of officiating their wedding. In the early planning stages, when deciding on an officiant, the happy couple couldn't picture anyone else marrying them.
Rosa Peterson - Bridesmaid
Rosa was Elisabeth's first college roommate, and the two lived on the 8th floor of Maple Hall at the University of Washington. Together the two like to read every book they can get their hands on, then make the other read it so they can talk about it. Living in the dorms was like a sleepover every night and often spent talking and laughing. Once around 2 a.m., they called Ben and his roommate (now groomsmen) Ian and got their opinion on fictional men from their favorite books. Elisabeth loves Rosa for her big heart and genuine friendship and is honored to have her as one of her bridesmaids.
Nathaniel Cooley - Co-Best Man/Brother of the Groom
As Ben's little brother, Nathaniel has always played a special role in his life. They have been best friends since Nathaniel was born and share a lifetime of memories together, literally. Whether it was helping each other improve in soccer, sharing music, and a love of nature, there's nothing like a relationship between brothers. Ben is so proud of the person Nathaniel has become and wouldn't want to get married without Nathaniel by his side.
Madeline Robertson - Bridesmaid
Maddy and Elisabeth met at the University of Washington in 2020 and would become roommates from 2021-2023. A fun memory Elisabeth and Maddy share was in 2020; on their daily walk, neither one decided to bring rain jackets. It was pouring outside, and naturally, the two were soaked. Rosa and Malia stared at us from under the Starbucks Truck cover while Elisabeth and Maddy danced and laughed in the rain. It was such a minor moment but one full of joy and is a core memory of their friendship. Elisabeth loves Maddy for her confident spirit, loving heart, and true friendship. Elisabeth is delighted to have her as a bridesmaid.
Noah Langstrat - Groomsmen
Ben and Noah have been friends since the first grade. The two grew close, playing soccer together for many years. The two enjoy playing video games together and talking about cars. Noah also has a special place as the matchmaker in Ben and Elisabeth's relationship. Without Noah, Ben and Elisabeth might have never gotten together. Ben appreciates Noah's goofiness and true friendship and is so happy to have Noah stand up with him on his wedding day.
Madeline Ellis - Bridesmaid
Madeline and Elisabeth were two peas in a pod when they were little and made the most of every moment spent together. They had countless sleepovers in matching handmade nightgowns made by their Grandma Christel. They screamed their lungs out at a Taylor Swift concert and spent hours in the pool every summer. Some recent adventures include spending hours in a thrift store discovering treasures. As well as spending quality time together in Whistler with the whole family, going ziplining and relaxing by the pool. Elisabeth adores Maddie's carefree attitude and loving spirit and is so excited to have her stand by her side on her wedding day.
Alexander Petersen - Groomsmen/Brother of the Bride
Elisabeth's brother, Alexander, has known her the longest out of anyone in the wedding party. Her older brother has helped inspire and support Elisabeth throughout her life, as only big brothers can do. Such as when Alexander taught Elisabeth and Keyna how to use the weight room at the high school or how he would let Elisabeth wear his jersey to every football game. Alexander has been one of Elisabeth's biggest supporters, and she is honored and excited to have him stand beside her and Ben on their wedding day.
Malia Yamamoto - Bridesmaid
Malia and Elisabeth met at the University of Washington in 2020. This short/tall friend duo likes to spend time together lifting at the gym, cooking dishes with copious amounts of mushrooms, and enjoying each other's company. A core memory from the two's friendship is once during their first year at UW, Malia, and roommate Maddy received a text saying, "u up?" followed shortly by a knock on their door around 2 a.m. It was Elisabeth and Rosa who wanted to order Greek food, which of course, they all did and stayed up a while longer eating and laughing together. Elisabeth loves Malia for her courage, generous heart, and honest friendship and is elated to have her as a bridesmaid.
Gunnar Moore - Groomsmen
Ben and Gunnar have been friends since elementary school, and they were the "best damn percussionists in the middle school band." They love to geek out on star wars and Game of Thrones together, so don't even get them started. The two attended Central Washington University together, where their friendship continued with many fun memories and laughs. Ben is happy to have a lifelong friend stand behind him on his wedding day.
Keyna Swoosh - Bridesmaid
Keyna and Elisabeth have been besties since the 6th grade but initially met while playing basketball when they were in the 4th grade. These two have a lot of fun memories together, from countless Western Washington basketball and volleyball camps to being weightlifting buddies. One fun memory the two share is having epic sleepovers in which just dance would get *really* intense, but it was always so much fun! Elisabeth loves Keyna for her vivacious spirit, kind heart, and loyal friendship and is beyond thrilled to have her as a bridesmaid.
Ian Walden - Groomsmen
Ben and Ian met in Chi Alpha while attending Central Washington University. One stand out memory from their friendship is during their time as roommates. They grew closer as friends by ordering Papa Murphy's pizza and going on snack runs, then staying up until 3 a.m. playing video games or watching the worst movies they could find. The two stayed friends, and Ben appreciates Ian's thoughtfulness and all the time spent educating Ben on music and games. Ben had the honor of being a groomsmen for Ian in 2021 and is happy to reciprocate.
