Rudy and Elizabeth were wide-eyed freshmen at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln both studying film and new media. Rudy was hoping to be the next big indie film director. Elizabeth was hoping to be the next big indie film producer. It was a match made in cinescope and they eagerly worked on as many projects together as they could.
Elizabeth earned an internship in LA after their freshman year of college which would mean a summer apart for her and Rudy's growing friendship. After spending the entire summer emailing, calling and texting each other nearly every day it was obvious these two were meant for each other. If only they could see that themselves.
Enter two of Elizabeth and Rudy's devious friends, Josie Schrodek and Darcy Bahensky with supporting roles by Nate Ruleaux and Matt Miller. Rudy and his friends decided to road trip to LA for an end of summer adventure... and to visit Elizabeth, of course. During their visit, Darcy and Josie decided to host a going away party for Elizabeth. At said party Nate & Matt conveniently got so drunk they refused to leave so Rudy and Elizabeth were forced to leave alone together. With a "you'll thank me later" text from Darcy, Elizabeth and Rudy ventured into the Los Angeles night to confess their love for each other and the rest, as they say, is history.
And yes, we do thank you Darcy.
Rudy and Elizabeth now own a home in Morongo Valley, California which is where Rudy proposed. It was a day like most days, filled with tiling countertops and calling parents for help, but then Rudy suggested they take a walk. After wandering their property and talking about future home plans Rudy dropped to one knee and asked Elizabeth to marry him. Though very surprised, she had her wits about her and eagerly agreed. In between home renovations and creative endeavors they've taken on what might be their biggest project yet in planning a wedding and can't wait to share the big day with everyone!
