If you're hoping to see the Orca whales up close and personal this Memorial Day weekend, this is the place to do it. This expansive park has miles of trails and beaches, as well as an onsite whale watcher to tell your what pod is in town and where they're headed.

If you're looking for something more structured, there are plenty of formal whale watching ships and trips leaving the docks daily!

With locations in Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor, there's always a chance to make a reservation to take a moped, bike, or other fun utility vehicle on a tour on a self guided around the island!

Another fun family stop on the road from Friday to Roche Harbor involves petting the friendly alpacas and taking a visit to the gift shop to learn about how everything is made and to pick up some cozy souvenirs!
