Roche Harbor Resort - Hotel De Haro
No matter where you stay, you are bound to have an unforgettable weekend to kick off your summer!
There are several options for housing on the island.
1 - We will have a block of rooms reserved under code "ALLEN24" at Roche Harbor Resort's Hotel De Haro for the night before and the night after the wedding. There are also rooms available outside the block. The resort also has condos and cottages on the property that may be great for groups to share. Please book at least 4 months prior to the wedding, as then it will be released to the general public. The resort offers 1-night lodging options for our hotel-type accommodations (Hotel de Haro, Quarryman Hall, and McMillin Suites) but accommodations with a kitchen (Village Homes, condos, and cabins) carry a 2-night minimum stay.
3 - If you have a boat, reserve a slip and make the trip up to stay on the water at the harbor!
4 - The island has plenty of vacation rentals and hotels, as well, just a short drive away! Some will be linked below.
Anacortes Ferry Terminal
Start your Memorial Day weekend with a ferry ride! About 95 miles north of SeaTac, the Anacortes ferry will take you on a scenic 1 hour ride to Friday Harbor. The terminal takes walk ons, as well as drive ups, and reservations. Without a reservation, plan on arriving at least 2 hours early to ensure a spot on board. We would strongly recommend reservations, as the first holiday weekend fo the summer is sure to be busy! If you choose to walk on the ferry, you can rent a car found only a short walk from the terminal or board a trolly to take you to the beautiful Roche Harbor Resort! Don't worry - once you're there, the resort is completely walkable!
If you don't wish to stay the weekend, it is possible make a day trip! Be sure to make a reservation for Saturday morning, there are plenty of direct options. The last ferry home departs from Friday Harbor at 11pm, so you may have to cut the celebration a bit short to ensure your spot, but it is possible! Of course, we'd love to see you enjoy a whole weekend on the island, but we understand everyone's busy lifestyles!
Paine Field
Several small airlines fly directly out of Paine Field to Roche Harbor! While slightly more of an investment, this is surely a grand way to make your entrance this Memorial Day weekend and is an unforgettable trip over the Puget Sound. The Roche Harbor Airport is walking distance to the resort, and a trolly can pick you and your luggage up if necessary.
