Here's a list of things to do while in Dallas! Feel free to browse and go for as many or as few as you'd like. These are the places and activities that Joseph and Elizabeth have really enjoyed.
We've listed a variety so that there are options for anyone interested.
This place has great barbeque - some of the best in Dallas! If you go, make sure to try the brisket, which is the most popular dish here in Texas.
Also, save room for the all-you-can-eat complimentary peach cobbler and soft-serve ice cream if you dine in! Yum!
Chimitt and Joseph really enjoy eating at this tex-mex restaurant in Dallas. They have great tacos, chips, and margaritas.
The burgers here are unconventional but all very good. Each month the restaurant has a 'battle of the burgers' where they keep a tally of the number of orders for two burgers which go head to head. Whichever burger has the most votes at the end of the month wins.
Sky Rocket Burger is one of Joseph's favorites. The food is pretty greasy but really good.
Custard is always a good choice, and it helps to cool off from the Texas heat.
Consider touring the UT Dallas campus prior to the ceremony. (It's only about 5 minutes from Trinity Bible Church)
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is near White Rock Lake. It's a great place for a picnic and extremely beautiful!
A 9 mile path goes around the lake and has some great views of the water and city. It's an awesome spot for running.
This historic site is within downtown Dallas and is worth the drive-by. They also have a nearby museum which is supposed to be pretty good.
When downtown, make sure to visit this giant eyeball.
This downtown Dallas museum is a lot of fun and very interactive. It's a great place for kids and has lots of cool technology.
