Q + A

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Consider knee-length or midi dresses, dressy separates (such as a skirt and top), or stylish jumpsuits for those who are more feminine presenting, and dark suits paired with a shirt and tie (optional) for those who are more masculine presenting. Otherwise, come dressed to dance and have a great time! Wear something fun and flashy! Sequins welcome! Tulle? Yes! A colorful suit? Bring it! Our only ask is that you avoid wearing a white dress -- just in case you were thinking about it ;)

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive half an hour to an hour before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time. The ceremony will start promptly at 5 pm and everyone will stare at you if you come in late.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

With any luck, the Sacramento heat won't be in full swing yet! Expect warm and pleasant weather, with temperatures ranging from mid-70s to mid-80s during the day (a small possibility it could be in the low 90s, but let's hope not) and dropping to 50-60 degrees at night.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place? Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Both are taking place at the same location. The ceremony and reception will be primarily indoors, with access to a gorgeous outdoor patio once cocktail hour starts, and outdoor access will remain throughout the reception.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Rooms are reserved at the Sheraton Grand in Downtown Sacramento. Book your reservation no later than April 21st, 2026 & mention the Brodovsky wedding to receive a special rate. You can gain the same special rate by booking online -- please see our "Travel and Accommodations" page for more details.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before April 12th, 2026; however, since it's a holiday weekend, we'd greatly appreciate you letting us know as soon as you know your availability. You can mail back the card enclosed in your invitation or simply RSVP here on our wedding website once invitations are sent.

What are your wedding colors?

Groomsmen will be dressed in navy blue and bridesmaids will be in a colorful array of magentas, greens, blues, pinks, and oranges. Don't worry about matching or not matching -- this is a colorful affair! But Ryan always likes to know so he wanted you to know too.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget and to stay within the venue's capacity. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Are kids welcome?

Unfortunately, space is limited due to venue capacity — all invited guests will be explicitly included on the invitation. If you're in need of childcare we're happy to connect you with other parents in the area to coordinate babysitting during the ceremony and reception.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Yes! Our venue is on the first floor, with no notable stairs and straightforward pathways to all areas of the event. We will also have reserved accessible seating for the ceremony, ensuring that our guests with accessibility needs will be able to get to and from their seats without issue. If you have specific concerns, please reach out to us so we can discuss further and ensure that arrangements are made to accommodate you.
