Bird-watching, gardening, plant enthusiasts or nature lovers can find a program or event to enhance their knowledge and feed their passion. Whether it’s a Girls Night Out, summer camp for kids, cooking classes or wine tastings, there is always “something growing on” at Huntsville Botanical Garden.

When you visit this attraction, you can’t help but feel the anticipation Dr. Wernher von Braun and his team must have felt as they prepared to put man on the moon. Where else can one stand beneath the world’s only full-stack Space Shuttle or walk the length of a suspended authentic Saturn V moon rocket? Enjoy exhibits, the planetarium, rides, and more!
Sip, dine, and play at Campus 805! This refurbished school building offers a variety of places to visit, from craft breweries and bars, restaurants and coffee shops, to X-Golf and axe throwing.

Monte Sano Nature Preserve is one of the largest urban land preserves in the United States. Only two miles from Downtown Huntsville, this 1100+ acre natural escape features over 22 miles of free public trails for hiking, biking, and outdoor recreation. Land Trust trails on Monte Sano offer varying levels of difficulty and also connect to trail networks managed by Monte Sano State Parkand Burritt on the Mountain. This nature preserve showcases the importance of conservation with an abundance of native wildflowers, karst features, historically significant sites, sink holes, waterfalls and more.
