Aaron and Elizabeth met in the fall of 2009. Muggy October nights and college football became the backdrop to their relationship. After a few tailgating parties, Aaron and Elizabeth went on their first date at the movies. Elizabeth must have swept Aaron off his feet with her first date outfit, including a turtleneck shirt and cowgirl boots!
The two saw "Where the Wild Things Are" as an easy movie that both could agree on. Elizabeth and Aaron have now started the tradition of gifting the children's book to family and friends during baby showers or children's birthdays. They both enjoy the story and and the message of love and imagination can help anyone through a rough day.
For about 5 years, enjoying their time living in a little rental property, Aaron and Elizabeth had considered the idea of purchasing their own home, but liked their rental and did not feel the pressure to make a move. But, in the summer of 2018, Aaron and Elizabeth received notice that they would need to move out due to the property owner selling the property. So, a decision was made, and they would begin the house hunt. Narrowing down the likes and dislikes, spending weekends searching properties online and visting open houses, they finally found a simple red brick ranch with a gorgeous backyard. The brightly colored flowers and the large oak trees were all that they needed to pull the trigger and make an offer. After a bidding war ensued, they came to a final number and won the house! Exactly 30 days later, on August 1, 2018 Aaron and Elizabeth officially became homeowners. Within the past 9 months, they survived a broken air conditioner in August, rode out Hurricane Michael with no damages, hosted their first family Thanksgiving, and have learned how to care of a home and property that is all their own.
