It all started when Elizabeth and Nathan’s paths crossed on Bumble, an online dating app where women make the first move. Elizabeth, always one to stand out, began their conversation with a simple yet charming “Happy Monday!” This warm greeting set the stage for a series of delightful text exchanges that quickly blossomed into a promising connection. Their first in-person meeting took place during the height of the pandemic, and with safety in mind, they opted for a picnic at Cleveland Park. Nathan took charge of the picnic preparations, curating a spread that was nothing short of impressive. An assortment of meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts, and a couple of bottles of red wine set the scene for an unforgettable afternoon. As they sat at the picnic table, enjoying the delectable charcuterie and each other's company, it was clear that something special was unfolding. After four hours of heartfelt conversation, they parted ways with the feeling that they had just met someone extraordinary. For their second date, Elizabeth decided to blend Halloween fun with Alabama Football fervor. Dressed as Jessica Rabbit, she welcomed Nathan, who had embraced the Halloween spirit by donning a blonde wig of a surfer dude who had been eaten by a shark. The themed evening featured creative foods, including a brie cheese mummy, a skeleton of celery and carrots, and the pièce de résistance—gigantic “monster wings” (a happy accident involving drumsticks instead of drumettes). As they enjoyed the feast and watched Alabama Football beat MSU 41-0, Elizabeth shared her passion for the game, even teaching Nathan the chants. It was on this festive day that they shared their first kiss, a sweet culmination of a memorable evening. On what was supposed to be a dreamy Valentine’s Day, a powerful winter storm in Houston dubbed the "Snowpocalypse" turned everything upside down. Nathan’s plans for a romantic dinner for two were altered when Elizabeth’s friend got stranded by the storm, resulting in an unplanned dinner for three. The storm caused widespread disruption, cutting power and freezing pipes. The trio huddled together in Elizabeth’s one-bedroom apartment for five days. Despite the circumstances, Nathan and Elizabeth made the most of their time together. They braved the snowy landscape, making tiny snowmen and enjoying each other’s company. On a walk the morning after Valentine’s Day, with snow crunching beneath their feet, Nathan took a moment to express his feelings. He asked Elizabeth to be his girlfriend, and her joyous acceptance marked the beginning of a new chapter. Their time together during the storm—though challenging—strengthened their bond and made their connection even more profound. They navigated the power outages and water shortages with creativity and resilience, turning adversity into an opportunity for deeper connection and shared joy. In the weeks and months that followed, it became clear that their relationship was something truly special. To those who met them, it felt as though they had been together for years rather than months. Their love story, marked by serendipitous encounters and shared experiences, had opened doors to a happiness they had never known before. And so, Elizabeth and Nathan’s journey continues, bound by the unique moments that brought them together and the love that has grown ever stronger. Relais Riserva di Fizzano

Relais Riserva di Fizzano&nbsp;is an ancient medieval village standing on the top of a hill in the heart of the Chianti Classico&nbsp;area surrounded by vineyards and olive&nbsp;groves. The village, dating from the 11th century, is today the result of a meticulous renovation. The pre-existing architectural structure has been enhanced by providing all the modern- day comforts&nbsp;to ensure an atmosphere of complete relaxation. Welcome to Tuscany!

Accomodations

FLIGHT- The peak booking window for international destinations is 4 to 6 months prior (RIGHT NOW!). The venue is closest to Florence (FLR- Amerigo Vespucci Airport), however flying into Rome (FCO- Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport) is usually cheaper and there will be direct transportation from the Rome area to the venue. HOTEL- Accomodations for the 5 night wedding stay (Check in Monday, September 15 and check out Saturday, September 20) at Relais Riserva di Fizzano will be provided courtesy of the Bride and Groom. TRANSPORTATION- Transportation has been arranged from Rome to the venue, Relais Riserva di Fizzano. If you would like to take advantage of direct transportation to the venue, please meet at Stazione Fidene at 12pm on Monday, September 15.
