Elizabeth moved to Louisville in 2013 to be a trainee for the Louisville Ballet. One year later, Andrew moved into the same apartment building and became her upstairs neighbor. After several months of living twenty feet from one another, they finally bumped into each other. He asked her out, she invited him to the Game Night she was throwing for all her friends, and they've been inseparable ever since!

Andrew's family was having a big 4th of July celebration in West Virginia, and although Andrew was originally thinking of proposing for their two year anniversary, he thought that this trip would be a great opportunity to catch Elizabeth off guard. With only their parents in the know, he set his plan in motion. On July 2, 2016, Andrew and Elizabeth were enjoying a quiet moment on the porch when he got down on one knee and proposed. She was totally surprised! After a quick phone call to her parents to share their exciting news, they headed to dinner with Andrew's family to surprise all of them! Celebration ensued, complete with fireworks!
