Ella's Charity: Farm animal refuge

photo

Farm Animal Refuge is a 501c3 non- profit organization that focuses on the rescue and forever refuge of abused, unwanted, and neglected farmed animals. The animals here act as ambassadors and help people make the connection between companion animals and farmed animals. In addition to animal rescue, our mission is to help those people who have made the connection transition to a vegan lifestyle through resources and advocacy.

Ella chose Farm Animal Refuge as her charity of choice because, as all of her closest friends and family can attest to, she is first and foremost a friend to animals. There is perhaps no better example than the fact that her very first friend in the world was her beloved dog, Poppy, who was gifted to her by her mom after she struggled to befriend other children. Now, decades later, she is a dedicated empath for all creatures large and small, which not only birthed her 12-year commitment to vegetarianism but also her political stance against the industrial farming industry. Farm Animal Refuge takes an active position in opposition to animal cruelty, instead embracing these animal survivors who were born into an industry that abused, neglected, and devalued them for anything other than what they can give to humankind. This refuge gives every animal their dignity back and shows them true love and acceptance, perhaps for the first time ever in their lives. She hopes you will consider donating, standing against animal cruelty and helping these brave, kind humans keep helping the animals. Zane's charity: save the children

photo

Save the Children is a global organization committed to securing the rights of children—ensuring their survival, protection, development, and participation. With a particular emphasis on conflict zones, the organization tailors its programs to address the unique needs and vulnerabilities of children. Since their founding after World War I, the organization has provided aid for every major humanitarian crisis, helping 118 million children in 116 countries. Actively involved since 1953, Save the Children has been supporting Palestinian children affected by ongoing conflict. Right now, their teams are working on distributing essential supplies such as water, food, toiletries, and household essentials. Additionally, efforts include providing fuel and water infrastructure for hospitals, delivering mental health and psychosocial support services for children and caregivers, setting up temporary learning spaces, repairing damaged schools, and identifying the most at-risk children for child protection services.

For Zane, the ongoing situation in Palestine has been weighing heavy on his heart since coverage of the genocide first began filtering through nearly a year ago. He has been closely following firsthand accounts of the devastation from Palestinian civilians on the ground in the West Strip and would love to provide financial aid to those most affected. Save the Children's pledge to provide essential supplies, in addition to other necessary mental health support services, is why he has selected this organization as his chosen charity.
