You will fly into Athens International Airport (ATH)“Eleftherios Venizelos” (9-10 hour flight*). From Athens, you must also book another flight to Kefalonia International Airport (EFL) “Anna Pollatou”. It’s about an hour flight from Athens to Kefalonia. You will need to arrange for a taxi to pick you up and bring you to your Airbnb, hotel, etc. One suggestion is on our home page. 

*Your flight will land the following day because of the time difference. Please plan accordingly.




There are plenty of great hotels, Airbnb options, and villas to choose from in beautiful Kefalonia. It’s suggested that you book your stay in the “Livathou” area (county) of Kefalonia. 

Some areas to look into are:

Argostoli: the center of Kefalonia with plenty of beaches, restaurants, & shopping nearby.

Lassi: right outside of Argostoli with beaches & other attractions located centrally. A bit quieter than Argostoli.

Additional areas to research: Dorizata, Karavados, Pessada, Lakithra, Lourdata, Vlachata.

Karavados Beach Club: a hotel which offers some all inclusive options and has a pool, about 2 minutes from the wedding venue.
