On the first full day of Arroyo Family Cruise on the Disney Wish Vance proposed.
After spending all day exploring Nassau, Bahamas Elsie was told everyone was going to take photos with characters in the Grand Hall. Vance told her to get dressed for dinner since we wouldn’t have time to change later and that we should wear this outfit, she didn’t question. It was only when we got to the Grand Hall and character photos turned into couple photos for the family, Kiley and Derrick’s photos took 10 seconds and ours were taking 5 minutes lol, and Elsie started noticing photos popping out aiming at us that she started to question. Then Vance tapped her shoulder, got down on one knee and said “Will you marry me?” Elsie was speechless and frozen for what felt like, according to Vance, forever before saying “Yes!” Best moment ever second to what will be the best day in June!
Oblivious to what was going to happen, Elsie was excited to find out what night had the live production of The Little Mermaid on the cruise which turned out to be the same night as the proposal. So, Vance had to cancel the reservation for the fancy restaurant post proposal so Elsie could watch the play. Instead they tried multiple bars looking for availability to sit down and soak up the moment together before the show. Vance will never let her live that down haha.
