One of the last remaining drive-in theaters in California, the Sunset Drive-In in San Luis Obispo shows flicks at a family-friendly price of just $11 per person for 12 and up, $5 for 5 to 11-year-olds and free for the little ones under 4.

Tickets are cash only, so make sure you stop at an ATM before pulling up. The box office usually opens at 7 p.m., with movies typically starting at 7:30 p.m. Make sure to get there early for a great viewing spot!

Other cause-related events in Mission Plaza include the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s in the Plaza, an event dedicated to providing resources to patients and caregivers. The San Luis Obispo Mission Plaza has been and continues to be an integral fixture in the SLO community.

Kynsi Winery is a family run operation focused on producing distinguished wines in limited production. Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Rosé, Chardonnay, Grenache, Syrah and proprietary red blends are carefully sourced from highly regarded cool climate vineyards along with Pinot Noir from their Estate Stone Corral Vineyard in the Edna Valley.

Viewing areas are open every day. There are no fees or reservations required. No public transportation is available. There are no restrooms at the viewing area so plan accordingly. This is a pack it in/pack it out site; please take all trash with you.

One of the most popular seasons for viewing the elephant seals is December to March, which can bring winter storms and windy conditions. Weather conditions at Piedras Blancas are usually moderate, but weather can change quickly. Afternoons tend to be colder and windy. Flat shoes, a jacket and sunscreen are recommended at all times of the year.
