Martinstown House is a beautiful country house built in the 1830s available for wedding celebrations and ceremonies on an exclusive basis. The Booth family share the property with flocks of sheep, cattle, two friendly donkeys and free range chickens who kindly donate their eggs to the kitchen.

Martinstown House is licensed by the HSE to hold civil ceremonies and are delighted to host alternative weddings. We have beautiful settings in both the Walled Garden and in the Woodlands ceremony area surrounding the house. This beautiful space created out of the ruins of the original greenhouse, it has a seating capacity of 330, all under the watchful eye of a vast 130 feet tall Californian Coastal Redwood tree. The building is constructed out of reclaimed and repurposed materials, the glass chandelier came out of a big house in Co West Meath, the tin roof is off a British Army building on the Curragh that was burnt down in the 1950's. It is fully fitted out for ceremonies with it's own PA system. We have had great success with Humanist, Spiritualist, and Interfaith ceremonies. There are a number of local country churches close by of all denominations, each with their own character and settings.

Your wedding at Martinstown House is made up of thousands of individual moments, the cumulation of a thousand decisions, big and small. The day is always a blur of memories, of dancing, of smiles, of hugs, of old friends and new family, but it is the tiny moments that you will remember most clearly. Catching someone's eye at just the right moment of the speech and the tears of silent laughter that ensue. Holding your partner's hand as you walk up together for the first dance. Sitting down next to your best friend and breathing a second whilst the whole day washes over you. The warmth of the fires, the pleasure of delicious food. At Martinstown House we strive to create those moments.
