Their story began in May of 2020, as the COVID-19 shut down was in full force, even in Texas. Chase was just about to graduate from TCU, month with no actual ceremony, and Emi was in between her junior and senior year, pursuing her degree in Speech Pathology. Their life changing encounter was at their dear friends, the Castro's, lake house on Possum Kingdom Lake a few hours’ drive from Fort Worth. The lake house was a little haven of normality for their groups of college friends to escape to that first summer of COVID. Because of the sleeping space at the house, their friends, Sophia and Colby (siblings) usually tried to coordinate weekends between her girlfriends and his guy friends. But as fate would have it that weekend all the girls, Emi included, and guys, Chase as one of them, were in attendance. After sorting out why they were all there on the same weekend, LOL, everyone got busy enjoying the Lake. Chase and Emi got better acquainted chatting on the dock, only to discover that they shared many similar interests and that love at first sight can truly happen. In fact, Chase called his mom the day after they’d met and told her "I met the girl I'm going to marry." A few months later, the couple started dating and soon discovered how many interests they shared; a love of TCU football, cooking, enjoying the outdoors, Saturday nights at the Stockyards with friends, and making time together to spend with their families on opposite coasts. As they begin the next chapter of their story, they would like thank you for being such a special part of their journey!
