From the Airport, Taxis are a fixed fee to Downtown (about 12-14 miles) of $40-55 (See: https://www.portseattle.org/sea-tac/ground-transportation/taxis).

Link Light Rail is another option from the Airport to Downtown, and it costs $3.00 per Adult fare.

To get to the SeaTac/Airport Link light rail station from baggage claim, just head up to the fourth floor and cross the skybridge to the parking garage level. From there, follow the signs. This map shows the location of the station: https://www.portseattle.org/sites/default/files/2020-04/SEA%20Airport%20Light%20Rail%20Map.pdf Alternatively, just hop on a free Train-to-Plane shuttle. The light rail train stops in downtown Seattle (2-3 stops), U of Washington, and many places in North Seattle. Map is here: https://www.soundtransit.org/ride-with-us/stations/link-light-rail-stations.

NOTE: Seniors aged 65 and up qualify for $1 fares on trains (including from the Airport) and buses, but you need to first obtain a card online or in person. Instructions are here: https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/fares-and-payment/reduced-fares/regional-reduced-fare-permit.

All Airport Ground Transportation is listed here: https://www.portseattle.org/sea-tac/ground-transportation

On Hotels and Lodging, we don't have a Room Block yet, but here are some ideas if you are an early planner and really want to get going on reserving a place.

Reasonably-priced Hotels: When we were remodeling our house, we often stayed at the Lake Union location of the Silver Cloud Inn which is close to where Amazon is, just north of downtown. The 6th and 7th floors offer views north across Lake Union. There is also a Stadium location very close to where the Mariners play at T Mobile Park (just south of downtown, but not by much). https://www.silvercloud.com/

Boutique Hotels: Hotels in Seattle can be expensive in July. Some of the better smaller ones are:

Inn at the Market: Right adjacent to Pike Place Market. It is a short walk to the Seattle Aquarium and waterfront. https://www.innatthemarket.com/

Hotel Sorrento: Just above downtown heading east up First Hill on Madison Street (a bus runs from there to a block from Emilia and Craig's house). https://www.hotelsorrento.com/ https://www.hotelsone.com/seattle-hotels-us/hotel-sorrento.html

Hotel Andra (M Gallery Collection): On 4th Ave in downtown Seattle, close to restaurants. Smartly designed. https://hotelandra.com/

Mediterranean Inn: In the Lower Queen Anne area just north of downtown, close to theaters and restaurants. Some rooms have nice views and it gets good ratings. It is relatively close to the Space Needle and the monorail to downtown. https://www.mediterranean-inn.com/

The Sound Hotel Belltown (Hilton Tapestry): Good location in northern area of downtown (Belltown) on 4th Ave with some good views. https://thesoundhotelseattle.com/our-story/

Close to the Waterfront: The Seattle Waterfront on Elliott Bay has been opened up by taking down an old double-deck highway that cluttered that area. Now, it is being transformed into more of a parklike area. Some options nearby are:

The Edgewater Hotel: This is at the north end of the waterfront, right on the water. The Beatles were famously photographed fishing out of a window here, and there is memorabilia from many rock musicians staying here. https://www.edgewaterhotel.com/seattle-aaa

The Alexis Royal Sonesta Hotel: On 1st Ave (2 blocks from the ferry terminal to Bainbridge Island). https://www.sonesta.com/royal-sonesta/wa/seattle/alexis-royal-sonesta-hotel-seattle

Seattle Marriott Waterfront: Very close to the Cruise Terminal on Alaskan Way (just across the street from terminals and wharves). It is close to the Seattle Aquarium, which is worth visiting.

On Larger Hotels, there are:

Fairmont Olympic Hotel: Centrally located between Union and University Aves at 4th. 450 Rooms and Suites, and it is pet friendly. https://www.fairmont.com/seattle/

Four Seasons Hotel: Very comfortable, newish, and expensive. It has great waterfront views and is situated just south of Pike Place Market. https://www.fourseasons.com/seattle/

Hyatt Regency Seattle: In a convenient location at 8th and Olive downtown. Pet friendly. https://www.hyatt.com/hyatt-regency/en-US/sears-hyatt-regency-seattle

There are also a Hilton, Renaissance, W, Sheraton, and Crowne Plaza.

Condos or AirBnB's: Based on hotel prices in Seattle, you are likely to do better on renting a Condo (but check the cleaning fee and other fees). Anywhere in or close to downtown gets you close enough to the wedding - but so would inner surrounding suburbs. The neighborhoods close to the Wedding are Ballard and Fremont, which are both north of downtown Seattle. Magnolia and Queen Anne are neighborhoods slightly south (closer to downtown, but still north of it). Craig and Emilia live in Madison Park (fewer AirBnBs), east of downtown. Capital Hill would be east of downtown, but closer in than Madison Park.
