► DO I HAVE TO STAY AT FINEST RESORT? ◄

Resort Policy: All wedding guests must stay at the resort.


Because the resort is highly secured, those who do not have room reservations are not allowed on the premises.


► WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY ROOM? ◄

ASAP! The room reservations are based on availability, so we highly recommend booking as soon as possible!


There will be other wedding parties there the same weekend as us.

We want to make sure everyone gets the room that they want!


Payment is not due until 30 days prior to arrival so you don't have to worry about paying in full right now. Just put down a small deposit!


*If you want to come but are not sure you can swing it, our advice is to book a room ASAP regardless. Finest has free cancellations up to 30 days before your scheduled arrival! If you decide you want to come once the resort is sold out, there is nothing that can be done to accommodate you.*


► WHAT AIRPORT DO I FLY INTO? ◄

When booking your flights, search for the best deals on any reputable airline. Fly into Cancun Airport (CUN).


Please book the flight that works with your schedule.

If you arrive before check-in time, you can use all the amenities [pool, restaurants, activities, etc]. Pack a small bag with swimwear and other necessities to utilize the resort while you wait for your room to be ready.


Just a friendly reminder the wedding is on FRIDAY.

Please give yourself enough time to arrive in case of any delays or cancellations!


► DO I NEED A PASSPORT? ◄

Yes! You need a passport to travel to Mexico. You will need this to board your flight and the resort will ask for it when you check in. If you need to get a passport, please apply for one ASAP so it arrives in time for the trip. Right now the US turnaround time is about 8-11 weeks.


YOUR PASSPORT MUST BE VALID FOR THE ENTIRETY OF YOUR STAY PLUS 6 MONTHS AFTER YOUR RETURN DATE.

IF YOU FLY HOME ON 12.10.22,

YOUR PASSPORT MUST BE VALID UNTIL 06.10.23

PLEASE NOTE: An enhanced drivers license or passport card only allows entrance into Mexico by land or boat. Air travel requires a passport book.

► WILL I NEED IMMIGRATION FORMS (FMM) TO ENTER MEXICO? ◄

You will receive your tourist visa/ FMM during the flight or as you cross the border by land. Keep this form safe as you need to provide it at the airport when you leave Mexico.

► WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I LAND IN CANCUN? ◄

Pass through Mexican immigration. Pick up your luggage and clear customs. You are going to go through a line and when it is your turn, you have to press a button. If you are randomly selected, customs will make you open your luggage and go through all your items together.


After clearing customs you will exit to a hall through sliding doors, where you will find different booths of rental cars and other salespeople vying for your business.

DO NOT STOP AND TALK TO ANYONE THERE.

Walk all the way to the main sliding doors until you get outside. That is where you will be greeted by your transportation company.

► HOW DO I GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL? ◄

When booking via our promo code, you will receive free round trip transportation through Seasons Transfers.

In your confirmation email, if you scroll down you will see a book now area for Airport Transfers. it will take you to the email of seasons transfers where you can send them your flight details to schedule pick up and drop off.

We HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of this or pre-booking transportation with another vendor. Unlike most airports, Cancun requires drivers to have a special license to pick passengers up from the airport so there is not a typical taxi stand. All services are through private companies that charge a hefty flat fee of $50 one way.


If you’ve pre-booked a pick-up, your transportation company will be found OUTSIDE the airport doors. If you have not pre-booked and want to take an authorized taxi, there are two taxi lines outside: one to your far left and one to your far right. Make sure to follow the sign that says “Authorized Taxi”.

► DOES THE RESORT HAVE A DRESS CODE? ◄

The resort strongly enforces it's three basic “levels” of dress code at the bars, lounges, or restaurants: Casual Elegance (dressiest/most “strict”), Casual and Beach/Pool/Relaxed


Casual Elegance dress is somewhere between casual and formal. This dress code means that gentlemen should wear long dress pants, dress shirt or polo shirt, and ladies should wear long pants, Capri pants, skirts, and blouses. Casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn at all times. This dress code applies to all restaurants for dinner.

T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, and flip-flops are not permitted.


Casual dress is more relaxed, but still not beachwear. In restaurants where casual dress is requested, the following clothing is permitted: informal shorts, Bermudas, cover ups and t-shirts. Footwear of some kind should be worn at all times.

The casual dress code applies to all restaurants for breakfast and lunch.

Men’s sleeveless t-shirts, any tank tops, swimwear and wet clothes are not permitted.


Beach/Pool/Relaxed Attire applies to pool bars, swim-up bars, and tiki lounges. In these instances, you can walk or swim up in your swimsuit, which can be wet. You can also wear flip-flops or no shoes – pure vacation!


► WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY ALL-INCLUSIVE STAY? ◄

► WHAT SAFETY/SECURITY PRECAUTIONS ARE THEY TAKING AT THE RESORT? ◄

Finest Playa Mujeres is located in a gated complex called Playa Mujeres, in order to access our guests have to pass through two security gates. Also, kindly note that there have been no incidents in Playa Mujeres, Mexico.

In addition, we understand that safety is a paramount concern for all travelers and we have always taken extensive measures to make safety a priority of all of our guests. As a standard of safety and service, we have a stringent set of operating procedures to ensure our guests can travel with peace of mind.

All of our properties are built on special secluded locations.

Security gates at all property entrances to control every person who enters and leaves the resort, ensuring that we always have registration of every entrance onto the property.

Security checkpoint between the employee area and the resort where employee belongings go through a screening process.

Security checkpoint at each end of the beach to ensure that only people who are working or staying at the resort can enter the premises

Qualified guards who make rounds throughout the entire property, 24 hours a day.

A rigorous hiring process that includes multiple interviews so The Excellence Collection can vet the applicant, verify their work history, and complete a criminal background check.

Additional safety measures are implemented throughout all guest suites. All exterior-facing doors are equipped with a functional primary lock and a secondary deadbolt lock.

The rooms also have a viewpoint for each entry door, and every window located on ground floors is equipped with a working lock.

Lastly, this particular region remains within the top beach destinations globally and receives multiple thousands of international visitors on a daily basis. Every visitor to Cancun remains within a perfectly safe environment to enjoy every tourist attraction, including resorts, bars, restaurants, parks, shopping areas, beaches, and so on.


Seasons Transportation Drivers: The gate that is closest to the exit, has a fingerprint system for the driver. The gate won’t open until they scan their registered fingerprint. They have a very in-depth process to be able to drive guests to and from the resort.

► IS MEXICO SAFE? ◄

Generally speaking, Mexico is a safe destination if visitors use common sense and educate themselves about the particular region of the country they are visiting. Due to crime, several regions of Mexico are subject to elevated travel advisories, There are no restrictions on travel for U.S. citizens in Quintana Roo state, which include tourist areas in: Cancun, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and the Riviera Maya. However, personnel are advised to exercise increased situational awareness after dark in downtown areas of Cancun, Tulum, and Playa del Carmen, and to remain in well-lit pedestrian streets and tourist zones. . Therefore, it is important for travelers to be mindful of their personal safety, stay updated on public health concerns, and exercise normal precautions while visiting Mexico.

► WHAT DOES EACH ROOM CATEGORY ENTAIL? ◄

Most rooms at the resort are standard. To make your trip extra special, you can choose to upgrade to one of the following room categories:


(1) At the Finest room category, you will have access to the following:

- Private check-in & check-out

- A private Finest only beach area

- One free aqua hydrotherapy treatment per person

- The Finest Seaside Restaurant

- The Finest Club Lounge

- This room category ALLOWS children


(2) At the Excellence room category, you'll have access to all the amenities of the Finest category and:

- The Excellence Club Bistro Restaurant

- A private Excellence only beach area

- This room category is *ADULTS* only


Your trip will be awesome regardless of the room. We would only recommend upgrading if having top shelf liquor (ex: Patron, Grey Goose, etc) or having a room in a building where there are no children (Excellence category) is important to you.


► DO I NEED TO BRING CASH? ◄

Gratuities are included in your all-inclusive rate. However, we recommend bringing cash for extra tips and other activities you may want to do. We recommend bringing a bunch of $1 and $5 bills

► CAN I DRINK THE WATER IN MEXICO? ◄

We do not recommend drinking the faucet/tap water. The resort will provide filtered and bottled water at all times. Water and ice cubes served at all resort venues are always filtered and safe to drink.

► CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE? ◄

All single / solo attendees are welcome to bring one guest with them. We want you to enjoy our wedding as well as your vacation! We understand we are having a destination wedding and that you will be traveling. We want this to be fun for you too! Please make sure to let us know the name of your guest by texting Emilie at 937.935.4544.

► WHAT ARE SOME TRAVEL TIPS? ◄

- Arrive at the airport 3 hours early for your international flight.


- If you have not already, download the Excellence Collection App here! You will find everything from menus to the live rotating open restaurants, their restaurant dress codes, daily activities, night life, pillow menus (yes, pillow menus) and so much more!


- Make copies/take pictures on a smart phone of your driver’s license, passports, and credit cards. Leave a copy with someone at home.


- Download “WhatsApp” here to communicate over WIFI only on your phone while at the resort (or you can use iMessage or Facebook messenger). The resort has free WIFI everywhere and with this app you can call/text for free.


- Once you board the plane, turn your phone to Airplane Mode, then turn on WIFI only (airplane mode turns off cellular data so you won’t gather roaming charges).


► WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND? ◄

We completely understand! Our sincerest hope is that no one feels guilty as you must make the best decision for your family. You will be met with total understanding and love from both of us!
