This brewery could single-handedly be the reason why Will loves Maine so much. Set back about five miles outside of Newcastle is Oxbow. The brewery sits on 16 acres which include the tasting room, the brewery, an orchard, a large network of cross-country skiing/hiking trails, and a picturesque pond to sit next to while you knock back an IPA or two.
Just down the peninsula on the Damariscota River, stop by Glidden Point to try some fresh oysters at their farm store or enjoy a quick tour of their oyster farm (you can book ahead online).
Right near the heart of Waldoboro and just across the street from Moody's Cabins, Odd Alewives brews craft beer with ingredients grown right onsite. And they've got great pizza too!
Ida's is a great little wine bar run out of a garage just behind the Waldoboro Inn. They have a great selection of natural wines, craft beers and other bevvies. Go by for an afternoon sip, strike up a convo with one of the Waldo locals, and relax in their garden with a glass (or a bottle) of great vino.
Just down the road and in the heart of the Pemaquid Peninsula is Bristol Dam and the perfect place to take a quick dip.
Located right in downtown Wiscasset, you can't miss Red's as it's always got a line outside. It moves fast and it's well worth the wait!
