What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30pm; the doors will open at 5:00pm, and we would recommend arriving around 15-20 minutes before the ceremony begins so that you can find a seat and get settled before we begin.

What is the dress code?

Let's get fancy!! The dress code is Formal, Black Tie Optional. We request that men wear a black suit and tie, and women wear dresses.

What will the weather be like?

While we can’t predict the exact forecast this far out, typical weather in Dayton in June is mid-upper 70’s.

What will the wedding-day timeline look like?

Estimated timeline… Doors Open at 5:00pm, Ceremony beginning at 5:30pm, Cocktail Hour at 6:00pm, Reception 7:00pm-11:00pm

What type of food will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

During the cocktail hour there will be a variety of passed hors d'oeuvres available, something for everyone's taste! The reception will be a plated meal with either herb roasted chicken, boneless beef short ribs, or vegetarian ricotta agnolotti.

I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

We are an allergy aware family on both sides! Please reach out to Emily or Justin after you receive the formal invitation to discuss any food related-allergies or restrictions so that we can ensure your meal is safe for your requirements or make the changes necessary.

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

The venue is 2-3 blocks walking from each hotel that we have room blocks at. You are welcome to walk or drive (or drive there and walk back for safety). *We will not be providing transportation.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Yes, there is free parking available in a private, gated lot for the venue; if needed you are welcome to leave your vehicle overnight and retrieve in the morning. They will lock the gates at the end of the event and we have a number for you to call in the morning so they can open the gate for you to retrieve your vehicle.

Can I bring my kids?

While we love your little ones, the invitation is just for you. Enjoy the kid free night!

Will there be an open bar?

Yes!

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests? 

Yes, we have blocks at the AC Marriott and the Fairfield Inn & Suites. Hotel details and links to the blocks can be found under the Travel section of our website. *There are home Dayton Dragons games Friday & Saturday, so please book your rooms ASAP!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

While we’d love to see the day through your point of view, the ceremony will be unplugged. We have a professional photographer who will capture the ceremony and ask that you keep your phones away; sit back and enjoy. Aside from the ceremony, take and post away! Just please tag us so that we can go back and relive it!

What's the best way to RSVP? 

Invites are in the mail! There is a pre-addressed and stamped envelope to return your RSVP card with your meal option. Please return by May 10th. The RSVP link on the website was only to get an idea of headcount early.

When is the RSVP deadline?

May 10th, but the earlier the better!

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

While we are sorry to miss you, we will not be having a virtual link.

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in Dayton?

Please see the “Things To Do” section on the wedding website.

Do you have a wedding registry?

The bride and groom are registered at Target, Crate & Barrel and Macy’s. Additionally they have a Honeymoon Fund which can be donated to through their wedding website.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to the wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.

Will there be any other events to attend during the wedding weekend?

We will be hosting a Welcome Reception on Friday night for all who are interested, and a brunch for our out of town guests on Sunday morning; all details included on the invitation.

When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?

The formal reception ends at 11:00pm. TBD after that!
