Some love stories start with a spark. Ours began with… a strong personality and a work complaint. I marched up to Joe after hours and launched into a very “spirited” conversation about something work-related. Subtle? No. Effective? Also no. But somehow, instead of running for the hills, Joe saw something in me I hadn’t seen in myself — charm buried beneath the sass.

Next thing I know, he’s helping me move out of my apartment (total prince moment) and asking me on our first official date. Picture this: he orders seafood and peanuts — completely forgetting I’m allergic to both. A bold culinary choice, but hey… he was nervous. And honestly? It was kind of adorable.

What followed was a friendship-turned-romance full of laughter, late-night talks, and wonderfully weird dates. One of our favorites? Grabbing cheap drinks at the Funspot bar and bowling after — where I definitely didn’t let him win.

Then life picked up the pace: We moved in together after 3 months. We found out we were expecting after 6. We bought our first home after 9 — just in time to welcome our beautiful son, Calvin. When you know you know and as we say to each other every day we fell in love the day we met each other.
