Once your travel has been booked, please add your information to this Travel Tracker to more easily coordinate transportation with other guests.
Your room is booked! As a thank you for traveling to Baja, Emily and Matt will be covering the cost of everyones hotel stay at Rancho Las Cruces. The check-in date is 1PM on Friday, June 21st with check-out being at 1PM on Sunday, June 23rd. Rooms will be preassigned and announced once you have checked in at the hotel lobby. Depending on room layouts, solo travelers and couples will potentially be asked to share with someone else.
Depending on where you are coming from, the van ride to Rancho Las Cruces is about 40 minutes from La Paz and 3 hours from Cabo San Lucas.
Guests will need to coordinate their shuttle transportation to and from the airport directly with the hotel. For those wanting to travel in a group, it is recommended that (1) person make a reservation for up to (8) people per van. Upon arrival at the hotel, the staff will then be able to split the cost between the different parties. Shuttles can be booked through the following link - Book Your Shuttle.
The cost for the shuttle is not per person but per van so the more people in a van, the more cost effective it will be which is why Emily and Matt are encouraging guests to travel in groups. Tip is not included for the driver and the cost ranges between $300 - $500 per van depending on what airport you are coming from. For Las Cruces, the road to get there is dirt so taxi's will not be able to make the journey.
To help everyone travel in groups, please use the Travel Tracker for reference. This is a great way to coordinate with others coming from the same airport.
Cross Border Xpress (CBX) is a pedestrian bridge exclusively for passengers of the Tijuana International Airport that allows passengers to cross the border between Mexico and the United States.
The bridge is 390 feet long and connects the Tijuana International Airport with a service terminal in San Diego. CBX serves millions of passengers who cross the border as part of their travel, helping them avoid unforeseen delays at the congested San Ysidro and Otay Mesa port of entries.
Guests traveling from Southern California are encouraged to use CBX as there is a direct flight from Tijuana to La Paz.
Emily and Matt have used CBX and found it to be very safe and easy. If you have any questions about the process, you are encouraged to ask either of them.
The CBX website is very thorough outlining requirements, forms, parking, directions, etc.
