The Strong National Museum of Play is a great kids-friendly activity that is also fun for those who are kids at heart. It features a large toy museum and interactive video and board game exhibits.

This zoo is relatively small in size but is a great way to spend a morning in Rochester!

Rochester is the birthplace of George Eastman, the pioneer of popular photography and motion picture film. Tour his mansion, gardens, and visit the history of photography museum. There are also rotating art exhibits available for viewing.

A beach on lake Ontario with a lovely pier to walk on. There are beach volley-ball courts, a ferris wheel, and local eateries including Rochester's famous Abbott's custard.

Delicious local ice-creamery in the heart of the town of Pittsford located at Schoen Place on the Erie Canal. Start here, walk to the canal, and enjoy the local shops you see along the way.

For the history buffs... the Susan B. Anthony House was the home of Susan B. Anthony for forty years while she was a national figure in the women's rights movement. She was arrested in the front parlor after voting in the 1872 Presidential Election. She is buried in Mt. Hope Cometary in Rochester, NY as she resided here until her death in 1906.

If you are looking for a day-trip and beautiful local hiking, Letchworth State Park is a great choice. They have three waterfalls that you can hike up to! You can also just drive through the park and there are multiple look-outs along the route if you do not hike but want to appreciate the park's gorges and waterfalls.
