Q + A

Where should we stay?

We will be reserving a hotel block at the Springhill Suites in Chinatown. This is the closet hotel to the venue; it's about a 6-minute drive. Chinatown is one of our favorite neighborhoods in the city. Check out the Travel tab for more details and booking link.

Where should we park our car if we drove?

The Springhill suites has parking onsite for $30/day with in-and-out privileges. We also recommend checking the Spot Hero app to find more affordable parking spots nearby.

How should we get to the venue?

Lacuna Lofts has paid parking for $15 for the entire evening if you would like to drive. Otherwise we recommend using a ride share service to and from your hotel.

How should we dress?

Our wedding will be indoor/outdoor. In late September in Chicago you can expect temperatures in the 60s and low 70s. The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside on the rooftop deck. The reception will be held indoors. The dress code will be formal/cocktail attire. We want all of our guest to both look nice and feel comfortable. No jeans please!

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes! Lacuna Lofts is completely wheelchair accessible. There are ramps, elevators, and chair lifts that will allow all of our guest to be able to experience our wedding with us.

Are plus ones and children allowed?

Yes! Your invitation should have been addressed to your entire household and our wedding will be kid-friendly. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

What kind of food will be served?

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner. There will be both meat and vegetarian options. We will have a variety of patisserie deserts and Chicago themed late night snacks. Our entire wedding will be nut free. If you have any other dietary restrictions, please let us know so we can plan to have something that you will enjoy.

Will there be an open bar?

Of course! We will have a selection of wine and liquor, but most importantly some of our favorite local craft beers!

Can we take photos at the wedding?

We ask that our guest refrain from taking photo's during our ceremony. We would like to leave that up to the professionals. Our ceremony will be completely unplugged. However we encourage you to take as many photo's as you like during the cocktail hour and reception.
