Bald Head Island does not allow cars! The island is small, so everyone gets around via golf cart. You can drive to the Bald Head Island Ferry in Southport, NC and park your car for the weekend for a fee.

Golf Carts! If you rent a house on the island there is a good chance your house will come with a golf cart. If not, or if you are staying off of the island, there are rental options for the day. There is also a tram that you can reserve through the Bald Head Island Ferry to take you to your destination on the island. You can set up tram transportation at online at BaldHeadIslandFerry.com. when booking your ferry ticket. If you plan to do this, book your ticket in advance!

There are many options to stay on the island (which we recommend)! First- there are a lot of homes to book for the weekend. A suggestion: the Bald Head Island Villas are a community of rentals directly next to the Bald Head Island Club. Second - there are two different Bed and Breakfasts on the island. The Inn at Bald Head Island https://www.theinnatbaldheadisland.com/ and The Marsh Harbour Inn https://www.themarshharbourinn.com/ Third - Airbnb is always an option to find a place to stay as well! ** This is a small island and rentals/rooms will book up quickly. We suggest booking your arrangements at your earliest convivence**

Besides the options to stay on Bald Head Island, there are multiple hotels to stay in Soutport, North Carolina to include: River Hotel of South Port, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Southport, Hampton Inn & Suites Southport, and Wingate by Wyndham Southport. Reminder, this will require a ferry ride back the night of the wedding. The Ferry does run until 11:30 p.m. so there will be a ferry to catch at the conclusion of the reception.

We'll be on an island so, elevate your normal beach attire! Think flowy maxi dresses, pastels, with sandals or wedges for ladies. Slacks, dress shirt and jacket optional for the guys.
